So, after asking about age, sleeping nude, browsers, etc. would you tell what skin color you have? ;)
I hope this isn't offensive or racist.

Along the way, my 2 cents about racism.

1. The bad thing, imho, about racism is that it often works with stereotypes - oh, you are black, so must be a gang; oh, you are an Arab, so you're probably a suicide bomber; oh, you are German, so you must be a Nazi to some extent.
The opposite, idealizing (anti-stereotyping) is also true - you are white, so you must very clever and sophisticated; oh, you are Italian, so you must really love pizza, oh, you are a Buddhist monk, so you must be very skilled in Kung Fu, etc.

2. I consider myself a racist in the sense that I admit the physical, intellectual and cultural differences between races without the cent above.

How about you? Are you racist?

I am a caucasian latino/ mixed white, but I have a sortof mediterranean tone to my skin, swarthy, dark features occasionally a unibrow so I pass for a latino amongst latinos. :p

Why is there no option for Sienna Peach?

D@mn racist poll, anyway......

I am not a racist but I do consider myself a “culturalist”.

I do not consider all cultures equal and I believe that the “American culture” is superior to others (although you could argue some shared characteristics from other countries but I’m just trying to keep this simple).

For example, it has been stated (and I don’t remember by whom) that a society can be judged by how it treats it’s females so I believe that cultures that refuse to educate their women are inferior.

And so are cultures that impose oppressive rules over women.

Or allow their women to be raped or even murdered to protect someone else's "honor".

And as a husband and a dad of two girls I have a problem with a certain sub-culture that consistently refers to women as “bitches” and “hoes”.

I think you can look at those characteristics that have made us the largest economic force / super-power in the history of the world and agree that American culture is superior.

I think you have to look at America’s culture as shaped by our Judeo / Christian heritage as having a large part in shaping our American culture.

I acknowledge that there are physical and psychological differences between various "races" on the basis of their genetic components, but I refuse to judge the value of a man based on his heredity. Genetically, every man is unique, and if a given man happens to be a particularly superior specimen, it is foolish to judge him according to the failings of inferior men.

I'm a whiter shade of pale.

And Morgan Freeman is right.

I'm from Mars and it makes no difference what my skin color is. But for the purpose of the poll, I'm green.

I consider myself only an American.

There is way too much emphasis placed on race and as I have said the racists are those who start calling others racist.

I believe that because as in the case of Obama people call us racists for legitimate disagreements with his crazy radial policies that have proven to be wrong A-Z and all failures, in my book.

Wow!

I can't believe I said all that stuff about culture in our "multurally cultural sensitive" little community here and nobody has bashed me for it yet.

I must me loosing my touch.

You left out "mixed", which I happen to be. I'm part Cherokee and part white.

To answer your poll question, I am "whitish". If all my Indian blood came from the same nation, I'd be eligible for membership. I may or may not be Hispanic.

I'm 1/8th Cherokee so I would probably qualify, but I've never really tried to get into the Nation. I've got it through both parents.

I'm Celtic on both sides of my family. My wife is Gallic. Latin ladies especially Columbianas y Cubanas have always turned my head. Racism is bull****.

Whitish. I'm mostly Italian and Greek, so I'm usually olivey-looking and can get very dark. But I'm also a quarter English, and if I go long enough without sun I do get surprisingly ghostly pale. People who meet me when I'm pale never believe me when I tell them I don't burn.

American mutt, basically. ;)

I really don't buy the racial BS. I've yet to see any convincing evidence of it. People point to IQ studies and whatever else, but they usually only address one country where the race they're trying to cut down is the minority. Go to another country where they're a majority and the majority is a minority and you get opposite results. Minorities in any given country tend to do poorly, no matter what color they are.

White.

Bit of a farmer's tan on my forearms, shins, and face.

Eastern Europeans don't tan well.

I am not racist, but I am very prejudiced. I pre-judge people all the time.

I use the color of their skin when I make those judgments. But I don't use ONLY the color of their skin. I use their age, their sex, the clothes they're wearing, the place in the world where I find them, I use the expression on their face, the expression in their body language, and numerous other cues that one can pick up in a moment.
I decide that I dislike some people and that I like some people relatively quickly sometimes based on only a small amount of interaction.
