Truth? I wouldn't stick my neck out for something that trivial.

If someone is in substantial danger of personal injury, and if I'm pretty sure of who is in the right and wrong of the situation, I will intervene even at risk of my life.

But beer thieves? I'll walk over and find and employee and tell them what's going on, but otherwise it ain't worth the hassle. Too trivial.


What did she think she was going to do with three grown men if she caught them??

While I commend her effort in trying to stop criminals, which I feel citizens should do more of, her actions themselves were not very smart. I mean come on, stomping on the car achieved nothing and put herself in great risk.

Very dumb move to answer the poll. She risked herself over a relatively minor offense where she had nothing at stake. As Goshin asked, what exactly was a five foot nothing middle aged woman going to do if she caught the three dudes? More balls than brains here. Smart thing to do would've been to take down the plates and report it to the police. A few cases of bear, especially Wal-Mart's beer (not like it was hers even) isn't worth the risk she took.

I'm seriously wondering just how comical the look on her face might have been if she'd "caught" them... that is if they stopped and got out of the car. Something like: "Oh crap, I caught them.... NOW what do I do??" :lol:


Some years ago I pulled out of a gas station (having just fueled up) at dusk. As I did, two young men ran out into the street; one ran out in front of me as if trying to block me... another ran up behind as if he were going to grab my rear bumper and ... whatever. I swerved and avoided them.... then out of sheer cussheaded annoyance I turned around and went back to the gas station. (Not smart, I know...)

I pulled up and they were outside. The expressions on their faces were priceless...."Oh ****, he came back... now what do we do??"

They hastily went inside, so I followed them in and confronted them. "You seemed to want to stop my car a minute ago as I was leaving," I says.
"Um, yeah" one of them replied, looking at his shoes.

I waited... nothing. So, (and I admit it, I was enjoying myself at this point) I asked "Well? What was it you wanted from me?" very evenly... very Clint Eastwood, if I may. :lol:

"Uh... she said you drove off without paying for your gas," he says, indicating the cashier.

I had a couple of words with her, reminding her that I paid cash in advance, and cleared that up.

Confucius say: "Before you chase, have plan for what happen if you catch."

She is a very fortunate lady. We have to ask if Walmart as a corporation would be as heroic. I think not.

I am sorry but she is just stupid doing that over some stolen beer. Should folks try to do something if other humans are at risk? Sure. But to risk your life for some thugs stealing beer down at the Wal-Mart? Dumb as hell!

Wal-Mart's insurance is a hell of a lot better than hers.

4 dip****s in this case. Three who stole the beer, and her for jumping on the car and risking her neck.

Writing the plates down would have been enough. Hell, she might not even have needed to do that much. They had excellent video footage of the suspects and the car. They might have even had a good enough shot of the plates where they could enhance and get the numbers.

My life is worth a lot more than a few cases of beer.

Very gutsy move for anyone let alone a little woman.

In this area she might have been shot to death.

I am happy see the trio face the music because someone cares about the law.

It looks bad for Walmart.

These kids are probably back on the street with more cred for their recent publicized crime.
