What Do You Like About Liberals

As an answer to others. For Conservatives only.

I demand that liberals be allowed to vote for hot college chicks!

they're super passionate (generally speaking)

Liberals have many good ideals but they dont want to fight for them.

I'll answer although I'm not conservative, but there are many liberals/lefties I disagree with, so I guess that's ok:

Even in liberals I disagree with, I like their general sense for compassion. They are usually asking the right questions, even if they give the wrong answers IMO. How to reduce poverty, to achieve equality, end wars and so on -- all wonderful and necessary questions which show a good heart. But in some cases, the problems start when it comes to plans how to reach these noble goals, and that is where I disagree with some liberals/leftists. Or, as the saying goes, "sometimes, the opposite of 'good' is 'well meaning'".

That's pretty much what I was going to say.

Those who are honestly "liberal" (the labels are so often abused!) out of a genuine concern for those in need are well-meaning people, and yeah we probably need someone to bring these issues up so that we don't get so focused on other things that we forget those who "fall through the cracks". Yes, it is the implementation of these notions that so often goes BADLY awry.

Over time I've become convinced we need a certain amount of balance in ideology. Too much of either can lead places we probably wouldn't like.

Not everybody is like me... and that's a good thing. It takes many different sorts of people to make a world. Artists, musicians, actors and many other sorts of performers and entertainers tend to be liberal in the main... and while I am unlikely to agree with their politics, I do often admire and enjoy their art, music, and so on.

We can't all be capitalists, enterpreneurs, soldiers, cops, hard-headed pragmatists, engineers and farmers.... the world also needs painters, singers, dancers, councelors, decorators, charity volunteers, and yes even those gentle souls whose compassion for others sometimes exceeds their capacity to provide help. We just have to keep it from going overboard... as it has in recent times.
