I'm just curious as to how people get around, car, truck, suv, motorcycle, PT? Just pick the one you use most often.

Mostly by the metro, the city buses, and/or walking. Occasionally by cab. The only time I ever really drive is when I go back home to Ohio.

Contrary to many of my political beliefs, we own a full size SUV.

I don't have a driver's license, so mostly I walk. My husband drives, small 4 door car, when we have to go shopping or when we go out anywhere.

I have a new Mazda5 which is classified as a wagon - I'd define it as a Sedan with a 3rd row, handles just like a car and is more fuel efficient than any of my other vehicles - even my 1998 Nissan Sentra.

Equal little car and bicycle, not because I care about the environment, but because I'm poor.

bus to work
walk to restaurants and bars
drive to grocery store and other shopping

I have a Honda CRV....

I have been into motorized bikes since I was 8 and road a mini bike I worked my way unto a custom 84 Goldwing.

Well i wish

Today I drove to the train in my '06 convertible sebring to get to jury duty.

I drive a 2-door Focus Coupe. Love it, but I'm ready for something more family friendly, even though there's no family on the near horizon.

Nissan 370 Z

size of a compact inside with the gas milegae of a small SUV

I used to ride motorcycles, but due to parking space ( last one was parked outside and stolen) I have not bought another.

I walk and bus around. I'm a disaster on a bike, if I'm honest, and I never got my driving license.

To make a long story short, I just didn't have the time to deal with it in my late teens. And then when I was 18, I left to go abroad. Most other countries are smaller, and more densely populated, and thus they have really good public transit, especially in the cities. I never needed a car. In fact, having a car in most of the places I lived in was nothing but a burden.

But America is a different story. Unless you live in one of a handful of really huge cities, you really do need a car. And now I'm back, and have been for a while. I still don't have my damn license at 22, and it is getting more and more frustrating. I should deal with that sometime in the near future...

I drive a small car (toyota corolla). Since my commute to work is 75 miles one-way, gas mileage and reliability were my primary concerns.

This should be a multiple choice poll.

I have a midsize car, a bike and I walk.

Honda Accord.

...

I drive a small car along with taking the bus occasionally. I miss living in DC where we had a metro system :(

Ohhhh they have nice train stations there.

The reason it is not is I wanted to see the most oft used form of transportation...not every possible form that you may use. I walk, bike, drive an SUV, fly an airplane, ride buses, take cabs...but for my personal transportation I drive my personal vehicle the most.
