Well said. Of course Walmart's CEO only made 35 million last year so he needs his taxes lowered.

How much did the State earn? With a job, I mean, not by confiscating income though the tax code, but how much did the state earn though a profession?

Non.

**** the state.

Yeah, **** roads. **** helping people. Rock on, Jerry.

**** 18-month unemployment benefits, **** Obama'Care, **** loose standards on SNAP and title19, **** pet-projects funded by earmarks, **** executive slush funds...

...**** handouts to registered tribal members, seriously the state pays registered Suix and Lakota a check for nothing. **** that ****.

**** the unions.

**** TARP...most of it hasn't even been spent anyway.

Or you can move to a state like mine where there's plenty of entry level jobs beginning at $10-12PrHr.

How is a person expected to be able to move when they don't have much, if any, disposable income?

And as to "you've done it with less" I honestly don't see how. Last time I checked, rent in NY for a place that isn't a safety hazard is $700+. What were you feeding your kids? Were you getting some government help?

so that state should build roads, schools, hire police officers, fire fighters, etc?

So you have certain issues that you disagree with. That's a far cry from saying **** the state. Also, just realize that you are the reason that the US is behind every other modern country in the realm of education and health care.

Thanks for that. American is great in many ways, but only here do we tell each other to go **** ourselves and think its a sign of freedom and prosperity.

How can the person afford to stay where they are under those circumstances?

Beans and rice, baby, beans and rice. Life sucked for a while. Lights, radio, occasional movie on the TV....we didn't have a lot in the way of electronics. Heat and stove were propane, water was natural gas, so that helped. Then one day I landed a better job. Not a high-powered dream job, just better. Still didn't have a car though. I think I rode a peddle-bike 30 miles each way, every day. That's where I got these sexy legs

so that state should build roads, schools, hire police officers, fire fighters, etc?

I'm pretty sure I specifically said "loose standards for SNAP" and "18-month unemployment benefits" as examples.

See I know your games. You want to rais taxes for **** we don't need, and whenever anyone talks about cutting the extra stuff, you go right to school and police as if that's what you originally wanted taxes raised for.

I've been around the block a few times, you'll have to come up with a better hustle.

Yea, that doesn't work. I had to get a car on a loan because no one in my family, nor myself, could save enough money to even buy a clunker and because I live in IN, I actually need a vehicle to get back and forth to work.

Yeah I'm not talking about your 2-3K loan, I'm talking about a 20K loan. You can pay off that 3K loan with Bush's tax cuts 'for the rich' you've been cashing in for the last 8 years.

I average around a $5K refund, and I'm not rich, not by far, but now Obama wants to take that away so idk maybe you won't have it to look forward to.

Um, excuse me? You spend several pages whining about your ex and derailing a thread, and then have the audacity to write this crap. Bah. You're not worth my time.

Observe, evanescence.....

There's only room for one attention whore per-thread, and this one is mine.

They are getting by, but the risk is too great unless they have a job waiting for them were they are trying to move.

I actually replied before reading your other statement. Yea, we don't need some of the stuff we have. The problem is most repubs take as their stating point programs that actually work like food stamps and don't suggest reform of other programs (welfare) but outright removal.

Actually Obama wants to take away the tax cut only for those people making 250k+.

That's what I said from the very beginning.

Not really, no. If all the state did was coin the money, maintain the roads and defend the borders, life would be good. But no, we have to over fund failing schools, various pork projects, let people abuse hand-outs, etc. Yes, **** the state.

Also, just realize that you are the reason that the US is behind every other modern country in the realm of education and health care.

Yes, because I'm well known on this board as a strong supporter of the unions which defend the teachers who graduate illiterate children. My bad.

Thanks for that. American is great in many ways, but only here do we tell each other to go **** ourselves and think its a sign of freedom and prosperity.

You just defined freedom as the redistribution of wealth.

How perverted.

Have you examined the state of our private sector recently? It's not exactly a shining example of ethics, good decision making, or American values. If you have an issue with certain aspects of government, that's great. Way to be involved, you are already ahead of most of the country on making the world a better place to live with.

Right, it's only the unions. If we got rid of the unions, so many more children would be better educated. It has nothing to do with unfair funding - where rich areas tend to get all of the funding and the poor areas have to borrow money to buy chalk. Yeah, I've seen "Waiting for Superman", and the argument against tenure is viable, but that doesn't make unions evil, nor does it make you right that government is terrible.

Where?

Did you miss my link on SD's 4.8% unemployment? We have to many jobs, you have to many workers. The solution should come naturally to anyone.

I'm not a republicrat so you'll have to take that up with them.

Actually Obama wants to take away the tax cut only for those people making 250k+.

Oh great, Obama only wants to harm my boss and our costumers (I remodel up-scale homes). No that couldn't possibly effect me negatively, no.

Where?

Quick word before I sine for the night: Unions were on a list of objections, they were not my only example of government waist, and you know that.

I can see though your bull****.

:peace

Good night. We shall continue this discussion later!

And how are people suppose to get there?

It'll be the last thing you do with those cars you can't afford before you sell them.

Even if you sell the car, you can still owe money on it.

You sure can. You can be up-side-down on a car just like a house or anything else. The 2 ways I know to get out of it are to sell the item and take a loan for the balance to pay it off, or accept a voluntary repossession, let them come after you for the difference, and make an arrangement to pay that off; or include that debt in a bankruptcy.

When you live at or above your means, you make a mess for yourself.

That doesn't mean we the people are under any obligation to give you a golden parachute. I think enough of those have been handed out to undeserving people already.

You seem to confuse saying a person is stuck in a messed up situation and that the only way to get out of it is to remain stuck until debt has been paid and demanding a gov hand out.

I have no idea what you just said I said, so as idk what you said, I know I didn't say it, because as I am the world's foremost authority on my opinion, I know what I said, and whatever you said isn't it.

Ever hear of Dave Ramsey?
