Now that the hard Weiner has been identified and admitted to lying, should he resign?
Yes?
No?

If he is guilty of criminal charges, yes.
Otherwise, I'd leave it up to the people of his district.
No. He didn't do anything illegal. His constituents should decide whether he says or goes in the next election. Now that the hard Weiner has been identified and admitted to lying, should he resign?

So you think a guy that's been flashing his Weiner around for 3-years, and perhaps to minors, is Congressional material?
Has the judgment to be a member of Congress?
OK. Your party.
For the record, I have no clue why he resigned. This is really no one's business but him and his family. I don't mind republicans resigning, but I don't think it was needed unless there is some law broken I don't know about.
Several weeks from now, as foreign wars proceed, the unemployment rate rises or falls, and the GOP primaries wear on, does the detailed knowledge we now possess of Weiner's online indiscretions make us better off in any way? Perhaps newspapers in Weiner's district have an special interest in publishing all these details. For folks who'll never have the opportunity to vote for or against Weiner, is this information useful in any way?
Oh of course not. People are acting like this is some egregious offense. The only people who argue for the heads of reps based on these kind of violations are hardcore line-towers, extremists, or the seriously mentally deficient.
You show me a Congressman with a blemish-free record and I'll show you my condo on Mars.
What I said when Chris Lee resigned. It fits here:
As long as there are no criminal charges, it's really none of our damn business. We are now the ones affected.

He should resign out of respect for his constituents. They deserve someone who isn't disloyal and dishonest. Now, finding someone who is loyal and honest.....that might be difficult....
What if his constituents don't want him to resign? They will have their chance to dump him in the next election.
