Reagan gave extreme tax breaks to the wealthy and was a major opponent of workers' unions. Why do you think the wealth of the rich went up so high during his terms in office, but the wealth of the lower middle class working families stayed the same?
Technology does not account for such a major loss in manufacturing. That's just not feasible.
Worker's unions are a joke. Just an excuse for people to do less work and make more money. They are a burden on the economy, and were brought to the forefront when the auto industry tanked.
