If you have ever watched Top Gear they explained why the Mustang is no good around corners. The solid rear axle doesn't allow for grip in the corners. When you said around the track I assumed you meant one with corners.

The Mustang pales in comparison with any of the European cars of the same class in handling.

Yes I did mean one with corners

The Mustang GT 2011 is quite a bit faster then some rather pricier European cars around that track

You know very little about the 2011 Mustang. It is a brand new beast.

The new mustang is indeed faster then the 370z around a track. Its pretty close to the M3 and if you get the laguna seca version then it is faster then the M3. Still I prefer the M3.

Thankfully they have begun to breathe life back into the mustang product line, rescuing it from the 4 cylinder attrocity they made it into

I owned a 66 Acapulco Blue Mustang as the first car I bought from a dealer (very used). Chromed it, traction kit, quad carbs (the 289 was the perfect sized engine for that vehicle) and 3 speed transmission. When I saw what they did to the line in the 70-s and 80's, I was hoping they would kill it and put it out of its mysery. Glad to see the new Mustangs reclaiming some of that muscle car heritage.

The modern mustang, last I saw, is styled as my favorite year, 67. I'll take a 65 with a 390 (there's plenty of good mustangs), but 67 is the best looking ever. I'm glad Ford has revisited it this generation. When I first saw it (mid 00s?), I was so happy.

Euros and Asians can have their sports cars. That's great, I like 'em too (I mean the cars, Euros and Asians piss me off). There was the z, rx7, m-series, hammers and other nice ones, but when I fired 'er up car alarms went off in the parking lot.

I absolutely hate the new corvettes. Camaros are better looking old too. I'll take an 80's Firebird > my favorite car. I loved the DeLoreans.

You know somebody that put a 390 in a '65 Mustang.

I bet that was a tight fit.
