Do you feel that places who only take job applications Online is a Violation of Civil Rights?

I feel this is a violation of equal employment opportunity due to the fact that not everyone has a computer at home to be able to apply.

Most libraries have access, and most people have friends, family or loved ones who would happily share their computer to help somebody get back to work.

WOW I stopped reading after the first line since you AGAIN brought up something I didnt say LMAO Oh well typical

I know, because you have no argument. ;)

I sincerely hope that your data entry skills on the 'net are significantly less polished than they are at work, where 33% of your job requires them. Your posts have been awfully hard to comprehend through the grammatical assault and spelling errors. Perhaps that is the exact reason why they're requiring online applications. Perhaps they're trying to weed out those without an attention to detail or a basic grasp of communication. Even if computer use isn't necessary on the job, communication skills almost assuredly are.

why would I worry about things like that on a message board, nice deflect though. 99% of the time I dont use punctuation etc nor do I care too and it only ever comes up when someone wants to deflect? hmmmm go figure.

and yes 33% of my job is data entry I work in production and manufacturing, i have a degree in electronic engineering and am responsible for QC/QA.

typically while im on here im watching tv, texting and surfing the web so quite often I have bore grammar and horrendous typos dont care nor does it really matter

I know, because you have no argument. ;)

nope you just fasley accuessed me again and are arguing something i didnt claim, its your typical MO :D

What the heck are you talking about? there you go being knee-jerk AGAIN Im talking about internet access and have been the whole time LMAO not writing?:lamo

Your entire position on this is wholly stupid.

There are multiple avenues for a person to send in an online application, to even put in a hard copy, you'd have to use a computer to write it or the company would have to waste money to appeal to a very narrow group of applicants.

It doesn't make any sense.

you're right, it only matters if you want people to understand what you're saying. And that has apparently been a problem for you in this thread, as your constant "lol, thats not what i said" comments would indicate.

The other 67% is trying to find a computer. ;)

.

like I said never seems to be an issue until someone is deflecting :D
and the problem is people trying to argue things that werent siad and red herrings like laziness etc LMAO

According to you. Of course, the rest of us are responding to what we THINK you're saying. If everybody else is misunderstanding then you're more likely the problem.

yes 100% really

it has always been about ONLINE apps and it shouldnt be needed hard copies should be accepted LMAO wow????

So you are saying now you did say it? Then this is bullsit?

What the heck are you talking about? there you go being knee-jerk AGAIN Im talking about internet access and have been the whole time LMAO not writing?

Or are you going to "lol" your way past this as well?

Again your argument that it is discrimination or unfair is wrong and makes no sense at all.

If you say so but some people do not have on line access and in my opinion that makes it discrimination and unfair. I see no logic to change that opinion. But i have asked reapatedly for other exampls and said I would change my mind if I am missing something.

LMAO @ waste money for a very view apps.

So you are taking this back now?

why should a job require something of you that is not needed to perform the job.

I gave an example of how this is flawed, you are trying to ignore it.

No matter what you are trying to twist this into the fact rmains my argment has always been about internet access, always and you cant change that 100% FACT. I said repeatedily that I company shoudnt deny any the chance at employment based on them not having something that is not required to perform the job at hand. These facts will not change :D

Personally, as someone who made a living online from February '09 to present, I think everybody should have a computer. There are a LOT of ways to make money at home with a computer and internet access.

I think it would be AWESOME if everybody had a PC also.

everbody else????? LMAO
nope just 2 of you ;)

I see four of us, who, oddly enough, happen to be the four challenging you...or trying to...based on what you appear to be saying.

OK so you are going to ignore your statements about everything else because this is about internet apps.

No problem.

And those people can go to places that offer online access.
There are so many, that it makes your claim of discrimination idiotic and empty.

Yes, it is a waste of time and money, especially when the primary process is through online acceptance.

nope not at all, its alwasy been about that. ALWAYS and you trying to take anything out of content is a fail :D
