Language: And how most if it is useless for humans, because we are lying. (emotionally) [W:20]

Blah, blah, blah. Watch the video. And then relate.

Your use of language here is pretty useless since no one knows what you're talking about.

Sweet creatures making sweet sounds.
As soon as the Bluster & Bully Bunch discover this thread, its theme will emerge with discordant clarity.
(For all but the Bluster & Bully Bunch, of course.)
Very clever Show & Tell.
Grounded in Ancient Greek wisdom: Know Thyself.
Kudos to dirtpoorchris.
Peace.

They are parakeets, not parrots...lol...
Yeah, but we have there the use of a verb (the present participle to be precise) denoting an action, not of a noun serving to name.

Leaving side the fact that parakeets are parrots, those shown looking pretty much like budgerigars

Kinda makes the point of how useless language can be.

How does bird communication say anything about human communication? All animals communicate in some form, both in verbal and physical forms. This says nothing about human language, as language must be looked at in context and how it is delivered, just like all animal communication. What exactly are humans lying about emotionally through their use of language? Why not show a video of birds acting territorially and squawking at each other? Or crows harassing and cawing at birds of prey? I don't get what a cute video of pet birds has to do with the human use of language. Please explain.

We are always happy to help with Elvira's education. We have already helped her with the date of WW1

2014, wasn't it?
A demonstration of the OP. A wonderfully canny thread. The two posts quoted here are making fun of a member who made a typo.
Again props to dirtpoorchris.

Actually there were more, some of them making fun of clearly demonstrated ignorance of the animal kingdom. Not to mention incomprehension of grammar.

So thanks to dirtpoorchris indeed for the opportunities thus offered.

Small minds, Angel...it's easy to judge the mistakes of others but oh so difficult to recognize your own...

How could I find a mind smaller than yours?
