What is truth?
What is truth?
The opposite of lies?
what makes something a lie?
What is truth?
Truth is what a person subjectively believes is what happened that coordinates with his/her reality and with the known facts of the world. To find the truth is a matter of one's own resources and methods for one believes a truth if he explores his reality and his mind for confirmation. Truth is also a matter of opinion for many people see different things in the same object of thought.
What is truth?
is relative and subjective
I question whether or not there can be an ultimate truth in all situations

I don't know about that. If you burn a piece of paper then it is true that you can never fold it up again.
I believe that the ultimate truth can only be decided if a "truth" is completely objective. Objective statements tell the blunt reality, regardless of someone's feelings.
but isn't objectivity limited by ability?
agreed, but that is just one situation in which the truth is clear
in other situations the truth differs according to many variables...intelligence, sensitivity, etc. no?
Depends on what you're trying to find the 'truth' of.
Truth can be subjective.
Truth can be an estimate.
Truth can be final.
When it's not true.

I disagree. If I believe, truly believe, that I can fly by flapping my arms, that's not truth. The truth would be if I ever jumped off a building to try it I would fall.
People will still believe something to be true no matter how absurd it is and how much contrary information is provided. People can passionately fight for a truth that isn't necessarily true. Take religion for example, there are absurd cults that people still believe to be true. Subjectivity is the truth for an individual, while objectivity is the ultimate truth.
That is why truth isn't common, for the rational/objective side of a person will come to reject something that the subjective side fabricates. Ultimate truth trumps truth. Doubt is what happens when a rational perspective a person is put on the table, which will cause the person to rethink his/her "truths."
I don't think truth can be subjective at all.
Subjectivity is what drives a person to fight for his/her "truths." Religious wars were fought by people who subjectively believed a concept was true.
