The fact that stupid people exist doesn't change the fact that they're stupid. They deserve a solid whack in the head with the baseball bat of reason. It might knock some of those unused brain cells loose.

Sadly with HD, or Thoreau as he calls himself now, there is no chance of that ever happening

Unfortunately, it goes for a lot of people around here, and not just here, but everywhere online. Trying to debate these people is a waste of time, they're unalterably dumb and indescribably proud of it.

HD doesn't debate he just make unsupported claims based entirely upon his fear/hatred of the ebil US govt. I just point out when he is wrong, which is a lot. Especially when it comes to aviation. HD is our resident "flight instructor" who doesn't know what ground effect is, thinks its hard to lose altitude in a steep turn, thinks spotting the largest building in the world from the air is near impossible, thinks the NTSB doesn't understand GMT but some reporter from a local paper does, thinks exceeding a planes Vmo means instant disintegration etc etc etc....
