There are lots of them. The late Hugh Nibley is considered the father of LDS scholarship on the BoM. The organization at BYU called FARMS has published a lot of scholarly research. I think it concentrates now on preserving ancient texts around the world.

Yeah I just looked him up and he seems to think Egyptians were Mormons too.
