Noah's Flood versus Reality[W:366]

Re: Noah's Flood versus Reality

Tsk tsk...look who's talking.

You won't even answer a question about whether or not you believe in God, much less provide any evidence to back up such a belief one way or the other.

ANd why should I? That's personal information that I don't feel like telling you;

Then don't expect answers to your claims and questions.

There is a difference between you trying to get personal information from me, verses being able to back up your own claims. I know you are using it as an excuse because you can't back up your claims. However, my not talking about personal information about me is not making a claim. Therein lies the difference. You are making a positive statement you can't back up. I am not making a statement that I have to back up.

The positive claim is yours, you are just trying to shift the burden (no surprise there).

See my previous post to you.

I never expected you to answer any questions. I view it as an opportunity for you to show people that you indeed know what you are talking about, but you don't seem to be willing to show that. That's your loss.

You disputing the account of the flood in Genesis? I'll stand by it - that there was a great flood. As far as the animals and all that you can deal with them yourself.

Ramoss, don't bother me with your nonsense. I don't care to debate with someone who won't reciprocate properly.

I will back up any claim I make. If I can't back it up, I won't make it. You don't seem to be willing to back up your claims.

I don't ask personal questions of you. I don't ask what your faith is, nor do I expect you to answer any questions about your personal history.

The problem is, he doesn't have any claims, he has blind and fanatical beliefs which he doesn't have evidence for because blind faith requires no support. You can ask until the cows come home for evidence and he won't supply any because that's the fundamental nature of religion. That's just one reason why the fundamental nature of religion is so idiotic. It's based entirely on wishful thinking and not facts.

You don't listen.

I'm placing you on Ignore.

Bye bye.

That's just more of your usual baloney.

You can't even tell truth from baloney, that's not surprising.

Ok, fine. How could someone deduce that such a flood occurred, and approximately how long ago, without the Bible? What I mean is that if someone was completely unaware of the Noahic flood story, what physical evidence would lead them to the conclusion of a giant catostophic flood?

Moderator's Warning:
Please keep in mind this portion of the stickied warning at the top of the forum:

Attempts to derail threads by continually and/or singularly attacking the idea of skepticism within theological discussions may result in thread bans and/or infractions. Expressions of ones personal faith as it relates to a topic is allowed; however, continual attempts to derail a thread by demanding others accept such views, and refusing to engage in substantive back and forth debate on the actual topic, may also result in thread bans and/or infractions.

Violating that will result in a thread ban and/or points.

Also, discussing one's ignore list, is not the topic of the thread. Baiting and off-topic nonsense need to stop.
