I thought it was 42.Because that is all there is.

There is only one meaning to life.
Respect authority, obey authority, or be hurt and left out in the cold to starve.
That is all life is.
nothing more.
Carry on.
Gratitude is meaningless drivel to me, and accomplished nothing.
Because when the authority sees you not paying him or her gratitude, they will stomp you into the ground.
And all you can do is sit and suffer in silence.

Tell me, when the right of conquest was no longer recognized as international law did any established states give up their territory? Do you think that any modern state that doesn't accept the premise of the right of conquest has any reason in existing? Don't you think that if they weren't being hypocritical they would have to accept the reality that their states were formed under such practices? Like I said, don't kid yourself into thinking that the declaration is of any importance at all.
The state derived its power by conquering and vanquishing everyone else and still to this day can only have power by taking power from the people. The very basis of government is one where every power you grant them is one less power you have for yourself. The government doesn't grant you anything, but takes everything it has from you.

I disagree. Life is about the progression of life, the furtherance of species, and along the way, love. Direction of life is very individual, but when looking at life from ANY perspective, be it a purely evolutionary accident or a planned design by a higher power, the purpose is life is...greater life.
Who pooped in your Fruit Loops???
Sincerity is the most important thing in life. If you can fake that then you've got it made.

Guess I've been getting it wrong.
Sleep, sex and food... everything else not even close.
Love is the primary driver of life. It is the source of all positive secondary emotionally responses. It is in fact the ONLY thing that is real.love is but an illusion.
do you want to expand on that a tad?

Not really.
That's one way to live life, it's not necessarily the meaning behind it.
But it is the default condition of the human race as human beings are naturally xenophobic in nature, and anything that is different is a potential treat, and we must all be made to b safe.
so conform, and obey the authority, blindly, and unquestionably.
That is really all there is, and all tat will evr be.
If that were all, we'd never have developed our philosophies that say differently. We are by base social animals, and prone to grouping. But that doesn't mean that our base is some neigh totalitarian form of submission to authority.
So what philosophy out there doesn't say obey my authority?
I've read quite a bit of stuff but haven't come across any that does say that.
= no purpose to life, so kill yourselfExistentialism.
