If you believe there is a Satan and a God, which entity would you say is winning so far?
To help you decide, if you had a glass full of clean water but the glass was filthy, would you drink from it?
Romantic philosophy has been obsessed with various proofs of God since Plato. Among these are the arguments of first cause, and the arguments of purpose and organization, and the arguments of aesthetics.
Technical philosophy has been obsessed that there is no evidence either way of a God and thus only the revelation fall back is available to the Catholic philosophers who are romantics not technical.
Practical philosophy argues that it does not matter if there is a God/God(s) or not because ethical behavior is universally right.
I believe in Catholic Romantic philosophy, in first cause, and in aesthetics. Ergo I also believe in God(s).
The oldest surviving religion (not philosophy) is Zoroastrianism (Persian) and it teaches that there must be an opposition in all things and is so.
Ergo you must believe in a Devil if you also believe in God(s).
The Hebrew and Greek Bibles (Old and New Testaments) both teach of God(s) and Devils.
Ok now that this has been settled, at least, who is winning so far?
Aristotle who was a student of Plato who was a student of Socrates taught (unlike Plato and Socrates) that the strongest will always win.
God(s) is/are the strongest since He/She/They are the creators, therefore they appear to be the strongest.
At any given time in history Devils may appear to have complete sway over parts of the Earth however.
I believe much of America, Ireland, Israel, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Scotland, Italy, India, and parts of the rest of the world are firmly in the hands of God(s).
I think China, North Korea, most of Africa, most of Arab Middle East, most of Persian Middle East are all satanic. Ergo "The Satanic Verses." These places have no sense of human rights only power struggles and violent dogma's about their own superiority.
Russia and Eastern Europe are a toss up. Czech Republic and Romania seem to be doing well. Pakistan and Turkey also seem to have peace also to a very large extent.
So you would need a score card to see who is winning.
That's my score card.
