What is it that disappoints you with our current society?

society in general? people are still too tribal and violent. it's always us vs. them.

I still believe that most people are good when taken on an individual basis. Flawed, but good. As for society? The continued centralization of power discourages me. I am not just referring to the federal government encroaching on state and local governments, but I am also referring to the fact that economic power seems to be drifting more and more into the hands of fewer individuals and corporations. . I hear people worried about immigrants being a threat to American culture. To me the big threat to American culture are the corporations. Everywhere I ago in the US I see the same freaking strip malls with the same exact stores and restaurants in them. It makes life more...boring.

The petty overreactions and the exquisitely delicate sensibilities and the growing culture of "victimhood."

It bothers me the most that we as a species are still quibbling with each other over petty bull**** like whose imaginary friend is better, when we could be united in pushing the technological envelope, curing cancer, becoming interplanetary, capitalizing on free renewable energy, solving poverty, etc. Such a ****ing waste.

I second this.

Too much violence, too much fear, cruelty towards all living things, greed to the point of self destruction, excessive waste.

But I always try to look on the bright side,,,

Stress.

But - somebody wants it that way...

A tree, unstressed is one that survives less tempest. Who knows what the balance truly is. I imagine its spectrum and relative based.
