sorry about Elvis, Superfly. good job finding him a home, but i'm sure that doesn't make it any easier.
Thanks, hon. It's been tough. It's even tougher holding on to him, knowing he's going. The guy I found is transferring to Savannah from out West, and can't take him until he closes on his house. It's hard looking at him every day, knowing that I am going to lose him, but even harder knowing that I have to keep the both of them separated now because he'll go after her otherwise.
I had probably 100 people asking for him, but English Bulldogs are a difficult breed to raise, and I wouldn't let him go to anyone whose first question was "how much?" and I wouldn't let him go to anyone who'd never owned an EB. I had probably 20 people say, "I have a big back yard for him." That means nothing to an EB owner, because they can't run around in a big back yard very much because they can't cool themselves like regular dogs can. So out of all the people, I think I have found a winner. It's just rough to go through. If it were something physical, we could get it fixed and move on, but with it being mental, he may just have developed something against Lily, and that's why we made the choice to just let him go to another home, with no other dogs and no small kids. The owner knows about his aggression, so it won't be a surprise for him. Just wish he would hurry up and take him so I could get on with getting over him.
