What would this world be like without death?
Fun....
What would this world be like without death?
All gods, no gods, some gods, gods god. God oh mighty.
The Bible if you care to read it. Or talk to any number of the billions of Christians in the world.
Ah, religion hate speech. I think sometimes the internet was invented to give that a voice otherwise hushed down by the grown ups of the world.
The God in my concepts doesn't "do" anything. It just exists, and can be a part of what I do, myself, as a motivational factor, and as a source of what I will refer to as energy or inspiration. It is something which I can't separate myself from.
Has anything ever been written about what God does and not just a specific religion rather any religion? What does the God do on a "daily basis" for lack of a better way to put it? I guess one answer is God watches over everything all the time which is stupid.
The nice thing about concepts is that they are our own. Your assessment of my concept doesn't mean anything, nor is it accurate. It certainly isn't energy, that word has a specific meaning. I cringe when I hear it misused in sentences like "There is a lot of positive energy in this room". I always ask if they mean kinetic, potential, thermal, electrical, electrochemical, electromagnetic or nuclear. What they actually mean is that they like the subjective atmosphere in the room.
Then, how can you say that your god concept is anything different that, well you being you? Or, doesn't that matter to you?
God gave us life and free will. At that point, his job was done.

I'm pretty sure He creates natural disasters to kill homosexuals, blesses a church that hides paedophiles, makes white people win the lottery and black people starve, He causes minor ailments in the elderly to heal, and children to die.

I guess you don't believe in heaven then. How horrible it would be if we were all happy.
God didn't have to invent child cancer or insects that burrow into your eyes, but if he exists, he did and he does nothing about it. Then, when someone is done suffering through extreme poverty and violence, they are greeted by eternal torture for not living in a Christian culture.
If god exists there is no doubt that he's a ****ing asshole.
After all, we're talking about God every day, all over the world, talking about whether he exists, or not, what he does or doesn't care about, or do,
Yea. It would be quite frankly. No death? What the hell would happen to our planet? To the animals? The trees? The bushes? Fruit? We are talking about earth. Not heaven.
Ok. So it is Christian culture you are mad at then? Lol. Of course that isn't surprising. But. Anyway. You obviously don't know much about Christianity then. "He who is first shall be last and the last shall be first." Pretty important concept. You suffer here, you get more later. Cosmic justice? Karma? It isn't unique to Christian culture, but I would think anyone who just wants to trash the evil Christians would know that piece.
And who says God wouldn't take into account those who are never exposed? Or are only exposed to islam? I certainly don't have that answer, I fail to see how you or any other human could.
Right. Because he didn't make your life happy and we don't all drive lambos and have supermodel wives and mansions. Never mind that if there is a God (and I do believe in God and I am a Christian...I'm just playing out logically here), he would probably have set suffering and death out for a reason. Our knowledge and understanding of the "reason" is infantile. We might as well ask an ant about why man builds skyscrapers.
"God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh."
The bible is pretty clear: If you don't accept christ, you go to hell. It's that simple. I pointed out that horrible things happen to people at no fault of their own, like child cancer, and you fire back with "oh well we can't all have mansions and labos". Wtf?
The only point I really want to make is that if we were actually playing a game for our eternal souls, I think an omnipotent creator would make the rules of the game a little more clear and not up to subjective interpretation. There is absolutely no way to prove one religion over another, yet I'm going to burn in hell for picking the wrong one. How can you call that justice?
