Recently there has been some conflict about some Apache's losing their land so that white people dig for copper there. This comes in the wake of another conflict that seemed to erupt after the Republicans took the senate, namely putting the Keystone XL through Indian lands in South Dakota.

Now I am asked to respect the white man's religion as if he were a simple primative and I an advanced human that must learn to respect the landownership and practices of the white man as if he were a native indigenous to the Americas.

But yet no "civilized" white American ever requests that I respect the land rights or religion of the Apache. Why this double standard? Seens fishy coming from educated whites. Just a thought for the next time someone accuses me of hating Christians or the USA.

On this specific situation ... what has the Tribe(s) done toward this.

While not knowing exact Reservation boundaries, I have never had the impression or knowledge that White Mountain contiguous areas are within those boundaries.
Is there other info to be added ?

Good evening M

Are you asking if the White Mountain area is in the boundaries of the "White Mountain Apache Tribe"? Did you read how their most important archeological sites were in danger? What if We found copper under the Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York and the senate started a debate, like we are going to level it and put a mine shaft into the earth below to get copper?

Oh I forgot, that is for the beloved Irish whiteboys to go worship. Bill OReilly might shed a tear on Fox News. We mustnt ever hurt the much abused Irish and their sacred sites. I want to talk about double-standards. One rule for European Americans. Another rule for everyone else.

Are you totally unaware that there are treaties which define where their land starts and stops? Or do you think they can just declare anything to be theirs?

Just report that company to the Feds as it's illegal to employ only one race.

This comes in the wake of another conflict that seemed to erupt after the Republicans took the senate, namely putting the Keystone XL through Indian lands in South Dakota.
That fight is over how to split the money, not rather or not to run the pipeline through SD at all.

Now I am asked to respect the white man's religion....
Hear that, Atheists? If you're white then you are religious!

But yet no "civilized" white American ever requests that I respect the land rights or religion of the Apache.
I'm still unclear what religion has to do with mineral rights but if you feel your rights are being violated then you need to get a lawyer and take it to court.

As an Adult I have to say I hate the USA and its entire philosophy.
Then move away.

Just to inject a whiff of reality into your understanding of the world, The election has allocated the seats to the Republicans after the next Congress convenes.

At this point in time, the Republican majority has not started to exist in a legislative sense.

Any perceived injustice you have witnessed was put in place by the current Democrat majority in the Senate as this is the body that oversees treaties.

I have to admit that I am always amused when the East Coast elitists bemoan the possibility of defiling the 10 football field sized area of land in Alaska to place an oitl drilling/shipping facility.

They don't seem to notice that they have paved the East Coast from Boston to Washington.

The crux of this thread was to point out that I have been told to respect various people, namely Americans and whatever they are up to, but they seem to not respect anyone else. I do not consider myself part of any liberal elite on the east coast, though as an artist and someone who doesnt hunt or think the wilderness is fun for adventure or overeat junk, I have to admit I dont really enjoy being around the peasants in a lot of America who are descendants of dumb Eurotrash, vote against themselves in elections, fail to understand how the border crisis in Mexico relates to NAFTA, and live in their own vacuum world of good old boyness. Other than that, I cant say I identify with any northeastern liberals.

In fact, my major complaint embedded in this thread is that they the East Coast Liberal elite want me to respect you and your religon and claim I make them look bad. I personally pooh on their bipartizenship and see no reconciliation with any of my enemies in even the most farflung future. I consider the essence of the USA to be hypocrisy.

I seem to have touched a nerve and I apologize for my insensitivity to your thoughts and beliefs.

Has any part of the huge existing network of the Keystone XL been built on native lands without their approval and due compansation?

Unlike this PROPOSED copper mine, the Keystone has been pumping oil through the US since the early days of the Clinton administration, NOT ONE PART has been pushed down anyone's throats, there has been no injustice as you imply.

Nor is there any here...the ****ing mine is proposed...no more. And if you had read the article you would have seen that one archeologist "fears" that the regulatory process is being "sidestepped", and that "archeologist" happens to be one of the most anti-development academics in Canada and no longer with the most left wing university north of Mexico City.

To make the claim "Americans" are disrespectful based on this trumped up article is disrespect itself; making claims on evidence not in existence while giving false evidence on the already built Keystone XL.

There is no gutter to deep which the rabid left will not scurry into to create misleading propaganda.
