What would happen if we all forgot our pencils ?
In my case, I would have to borrow someone else's, since all of our reports have to be don in pencil.

I'm fairly picky about my pencils, too. .5mm, mono-shaft (doesn't come apart in the middle, only reloads from the end) so it stays together as I pull it out, and the 'clicker' (for more lead [yes I know it's not actually lead]) near the writing end so I don't have to re-position my hand for it. And it must be ~3/8in or less in diameter since that's what fits into my Army uniform.

I would be compelled to turn around, and go back home to get it. I am a bit OC that way.

I have pencils of every type everywhere. There's no way I would be without one. The rest of you are on your own.

Would that be the hexagoal wooden tube with graphite down the middle, or is it an oblique sexual reference to men?

I would have a problem making layout and cut lines. Fortunately, that is a highly unlikely event since I keep one behind my ear secured by my hat and have back-up pencils in many places; circilar saw case, tool bucket and nail bags, I also have Sharpies, chalk lines, a knife, chisels nails, screws and tape that could be used to make such lines.

Don't leave home without them. ;)

Wait and see? Maybe I won't need to use a pencil after all?

If I do indeed need one, borrow?

Or improvise. Use charcoal? Pen? Paint? Write on the sand with a stick? Etc.,
