Something for Christians to ponder

I'm not defending the radicle Islamist or Alquiada or ISIS but before you Christians get to distressed about this evil in the world you may want to reflect on your own religions very recent history. You get bent out of shape because these Islam nuts demand you join their religion or die. They call you infidels and say killing you is fine and you are abhorred by this. If however you look back a couple of generations you see Christians did the same exact thing. You called native Americans "godless heathens" and killed them at will for their land. Then you tore babies from their mothers arms and took them off to be educated in your ways and learn your religion. You are now getting a tiny taste of what you did to others and are squealing like stuck pigs about it. Karma's a bitch huh.

W've 'pondered', reflected, and prayed for those who acted badly in the name of Christ. However no Christians alive today are responsible for the heinous acts of our forefathers.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.

I agree and do not blame people alive now for what their ancestors did but it is only wise to look at where you came from as you condemn others. The Christian faith has no real moral high ground here.
 
What a lame way to derail dealing with the problem of Islamic extremism.

Our own medicine? Dumbest thing I've read all week. Oldest cop out in the book to deflect with bringing up the crimes of Western society like it hasn't been put under a microscope by our academics and thinkers with thousands of books written on it....oh wait. The stuff I read on this forum, it's just too much.

"The sins of the father shall be visited on the son", That too is karma. All religions basically say the same thing on that issue.

I'd be the first to say the Islamic world is living in a prior century but, you don't even have to be religious to have a higher moral ground than these guys.

Being part native myself, I think it's your prerogative to work out your feelings concerning past wrongs to your people. Otherwise that chip on your shoulder will continue to grow.

And what karma are you talking about? FYI, thousands of Muslims are converting to Christianity.
That's the real reason why we see these brutal persecutions in Islamic countries. It's desperation because Christianity is growing rapidly!

Sin is an action; karma is a consequence/punishment.

Ezekiel 18:20 The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son's iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself. [New American Standard Bible]

Christians alive today may have the moral high ground but the Christian faith has done far worse than these Islamist have done so far. They do need to be stopped though before they grow in power, on that I agree.

Right, the son pays the price for the fathers sin. A good example of this is how black decedents of the sin of slavery now fill American prisons and riot in the streets.
