You have to assume that since one has never been found that they have intelligence enough to bury their dead. This would also mean they have a culture. You really would murder one to prove they exist? Think about this.

Sasquatch does not exist. If it did, we would have found more convincing evidence of it by now.

So the point is moot.

Even though I thought the choices were over the top, I did answer that I wouldnt kill a bigfoot but I mean just for no reason. I would kill one, if I could, if I was protecting myself or another person.

.

Burying their dead? No graves have been found. We find mammoth remains and all sorts in the ground but Bigfoot graves remain hidden? How could anybody believe that? You are right about the convincing evidence. Belief in Bigfoot is like a religion. I came across a guy on another site who believed that when Bigfoots die they go to another dimension, hence to bodies. I kid you not.

You would kill something you misidentified, or a guy in a fur suit.

Atlantis? Ever heard of continental drift?

Sure I have, but they have been looking in the all the wrong places. Today the Pillars of Hercules is Gibraltar. It wasn't back in Solon's time when the Egyptians told him about Atlantis. Remember, everyone thought Troy was a myth until Schliemann found it in Turkey.

Keep the faith.

If whatever it is is going to kill me then I will still try my hardest to kill it first.

Thank you, but hope does spring eternal. Fact or Fiction? We will only know that answer if Atlantis is found. Lack of evidence does not mean something did not exist, it only means there is no evidence to date.

Many have sought and not found. The Santorini theory seems the most likely cause of the story. that was a cataclysmic earthquake. I hope that you do not mean the Atlantis of legend with the super beings who had atomic technology.

Are you one that believes just because there is no evidence that something exists or existed, it doesn't exist and never did? I believe behind every myth and legend there is some truth to it. If there weren't any truth, then the myth or legend would be short lived.

It's not a question of belief. No bigfoot bodies, hair, bones, nothing. No evidence.

No evidence that bigfoot doesnt exist so it is a belief.

No, Solon visited Egypt around 590 BC. What would an advance civilization be to someone back then? Certainly no atomic power, lasers and the like you see in the movies. Now we are talking around a 1,000 years earlier. That puts the existence of Atlantis to around 1500 BC or there about. Now an advance civilization back then certainly would not include atomics. But being this is in the Mediterranean Atlantis was bound to be a sea power and probably had fancy palaces.

I read recently that scientists believe that Mars may have had some type of civilization at one time, based on photos that have been sent back to us by satellites from India, of all places. There's water, hot springs, ruins of what some believe might be buildings, roads, etc. If that is true, and considering that Mars is the God of War for many ancient cultures, what happened to the beings that used to live on Mars? Could we be their offspring if they had to abandon their planet for some reason? Since the time of the cavemen, we have had wars and we are certainly not adverse to killing each other even today. Far-fetched, I know, but no wackier than many other things I've read. This might be an entirely new area to explore in the anthology you're working on, Pero. Nothing is impossible, I guess! Just speculating...

No legitimate scientist from the last fifty years has believed there is evidence of advanced civilizations on Mars.

The biblical account of the Great Flood could have been caused by the explosion of Santoroni - so some conjecture. Scientists believe that the explosion occurred around 1628 BC, which is close to the 1500 BC you state. The problem is tying together the existence of Atlantis with those numbers, since the Egyptians, based on the writings of Solon, which Plato used in his account, said that Atlantis disappeared thousands of years prior to that. Until we actually find remains of Atlantis, we won't know, and it will remain a mystery to be solved.

There are always possibilities Pol. At one time Mars did have a breathable atmosphere. Today it is mostly CO2 and thin as all get out. The scientist put the date of a breathable atmosphere on Mars at a couple of billion years ago. That is to sustain life as we know it. But that is the key isn't it, as we know it. What about life we do not know, some other type of life or a lifeform based on something else besides carbon.

Could life exist based on something else besides carbon? I think it is possible. Could life on Mars gone underground once it started to lose it atmosphere? Possible. Who really knows? Is a million to one shot possible? Yes it is. The dinosaurs became extinct around 65 million years ago and mammals rose to prominence. If life on Mars moved here say 60 million years ago to enhance mankind to become what he is today, I doubt if Mars would show any remenents of that civilization that was there. Certainly we would never see anything through a telescope to let us know that life once existed there. We have to go there to find out, to dig in the dirt.

Greetings, Unrepresented. :2wave:

It is my understanding that this new information is just now being discussed. We didn't have satellites 50 years ago, but until we actually go there to see, it's all a matter of interpretation of what the pictures might actually be. It is interesting, though.
