This is a video on youtube in which is presented the concept of warp traveling, and it's technology.

Now, important to this curent thread is the comment section, in which a person, named Charlie William, wrote a modest comment suggestive about the future that brings FTL(faster than light travel), the warp traveling.
From a point, the subcomments become a debate:

It started from "kamikaze" 's comment of "If we won't destroy ourself first". You can read the debate on the link provided since the start of this thread.

Now, after reading most of the debate, I choosed to make a point. And I want to share it here, as I think it is important to be aknowledged by many.

Edit: Don't judge my typos in the photos, as you can see there that I metioned I merely woke up. Keeping up the writing on a phone with the rapidity of thinking can get tricky, especially if your brain is just restarting itself after sleep, and also languages with which you can think are a little mixed up.

I don't think that travelling faster than the speed of light, or warping as it is known, is possible for us.

The whole discussion about society and how teenhood to adulthood, etc... is... well, it's ok but it's limited. I didn't quite get all that he was saying and later on he went on talking about himself... meh.

but about civilizational level in the abstract, there is no such thing as a "level" in the way a game is. You get to lvl 5 then lvl 6... etc. I think that we're about to enter a new stage of our society because the new wave of automation. But this will be a human disrupting activity. It will fundamentally change our economic system and the way we view work or leisure time and how we organize our time. It won't have much to do with spacetravel, but ofc, maybe the way we think of space will change.

The fact that indeed, the guy is more aware of the world in the sense that because english became the new "lingua franca" for the past almost 100 years and because it is a very easy to learn language, we are more aware of the rest of the world and what is happening, so we're more connected. But the reality is there will always be forces that civilization must content with, barbarism and the like. And today, while barbarians aren't wielding clubs and riding on horseback, they exist and they're both in and outside the civilized world.

It is clearly that the meaning of "level", in the mentioned debate, is not used with the meaning used in video games. But it referes to an evolutional stage.

Also, the subject of the debate was started from the afirmation that I many time encounter in other evolutional debates: "If we don't kill ourselfes untill then". The self-genocide can be avoided with a fully responsabile mentality, provided by an evolutional stage metaforized in "adulthood".
I personally believe that we would never destroy ourselfes, no matter how far we would have gone. I am sure that humanity is not full of "demons", but it's consistent of "angels" too.
