There seems to be a lot of intolerance for the quiz itself. You all fail.

Some of the choices were really off the wall even for the best. Still, 70%...

There seems to be a lot of intolerance for the quiz itself. You all fail.

Now if THAT was the actual purpose of the quiz, it was brilliant, and gets the CaptainCourtesy Seal of Approval, an award very rarely given.

Are you tolerant?

For 50 % you are: You're the best! You have just the right amount of tolerance and that is hard to find. You don't plead for stupidity, nor strive against smart things. You have your own opinion on everything, but you don't underestimate other people's opinion. That's so good because these days the world is divided on idiots who support everything and rednecks who support nothing.

I scored 60%, but I think this test is flawed. Tolerance ins't endorsing behaviors or simply just being indifferent. You can be tolerant of something you know is wrong without having some kind of whimsical "I don't care" attitude about it. You can respect someone else's right to believe something you know is wrong because they, as a person, have a right to do so. The test also seems to fail at separating someone's choices/lifestyle with your view of that choice/lifestyle. Few answers were given in a sense of "I know they are wrong, but I wouldn't force them to stop." They were basically "I love those people, I hate those people, I really love those people and go out of my way to show it or I hate those people with a passion." I'd rather just give my own views about each question rather than depend on a poorly written quiz.

"What is your opinion on execution?"

I think it should remain an option for severe crimes like pre-meditated murder.

"What do you think of gay people?"

They are people just like me, their lifestyle is sinful if they are having homosexual sex but I can respect their right to live in sin just like they can respect mine to not agree with their life choices and accept that it's wrong. God will judge them just like everyone else. First and foremost they are individuals and should be respected and treated as such.

"What do you think of promiscuities women?"

Basically the same as the above.

"What do you think of interracial marriages?"

They're fine, race doesn't matter when it comes to marriage. One man one woman, race is irrelevant.

"Would you be a friend with someone different race?"

Of course, they're an individual. Their race doesn't make me like or dislike them.

"Okay, your opinion on abortion?"

Only acceptable in cases where the pregnancy would result in the death of the mother.

"Your opinion on bad mothers?"

They may be ignorant on how to raise kids or simply just irresponsible. I believe anyone can change and some "bad" mothers are motivated by love but lack wise decision-making which leads to bad parenting.

"Someone strongly disagrees with you without a smart explanation."

They can chose to be stupid and they can chose to believe what they want even if they don't have a rational or smart answer behind it. Pride and selfishness are character flaws. Many people begin with believing what they want to believe and then work backwards with rationalizing ways as to why they are right. It inherently leads to having no "smart" explanation or an objective look at opposing views because they've set in themselves already that they want to believe what they want and truth be damned. They are entitled to that, but at best it's just a character flaw and you won't get anywhere arguing with such people if they aren't willing to actually look inward and recognize the flaw they have in their thinking and conclusion on an issue.

"What do you think of people who like everybody?"

Probably either a bubbly extrovert who tends to appear to like everyone, someone who is polite leading others to believe they don't dislike anyone or they are just playing everyone and are inwardly manipulative.

"What do you think of people of other religion and nationality?"

Other nationalities? They are individuals? Other religions? Still individuals. I may not agree with their religion but them having a different one doesn't make me view them as less of an individual with the right to believe what they want even if I know it's wrong.

The beauty of tolerance is that tolerance is being willing to accept that someone else has the right to do as they please or believe what they want even if you yourself disagree with that mentality also being reciprocated for yours as well. Tolerance is not an endorsement nor is tolerance trying to oppose and silence things you don't agree with. It's a two way street with both sides allowing the other to exist and respecting that each side has their own view that may or may not be right or wrong.

Tolerance certainly ends at institutional discrimination, if not sooner.

I stopped after the 4th question that I could only answer facetiously.

I scored a 160%

"Are you tolerant? You have so much tolerance, you make Mahatma Ghandi look like a Nazi. Angels sing your praises, the Vatican is considering your canonization and if everybody were like you, this world be a true heaven on Earth. You are the only person to ever score this high on the the quiz, and so we bow to you, kind sir.

and you are a damned snappy dresser.

There's no place to post a 'no score' because I couldn't find my answer among any of the choices allowed. :(

I received 50% just the right amount. Not tolerant of everything and capable of forming my own opinions. The thing that frightens me is so many people scored 70% they are puppets or perhaps they didn't read the quiz
