I just watched this movie.....Dayum.

The similarities to human society and interaction are undeniable...It is very clear to me where much of our society and civilization began, and how we evolved into what we are. I recommend this to anyone and everyone....might change a few views.

The Republicans, alas, show a marked devolution from the original prototype!

the Bonobos seem to have a better system worked out. they mostly just share food and have sex. they leave fighting about imaginary borders to their hairless cousins.

Puhleez- give me a freaking break. Move to Somalia for awhile, then come back and tell us how backwards American Republicans are.

We simply act on that which is inane in the species. As our human culture evolves with the advent of technology and civilization...we have found more efficient means of accomplishing goals.

Republicans do seem to be holding on to a past....and fighting against the future, but not all are in support.

We have lots of Somalis in Caerdydd/Cardiff - lovely people. American Republicans aren't - too loud, too ignorant and too bossy, as you know.

We didn't evolve from chimps.

Humanity, so hominids and primates had a common ancestor. At some point, 2.5->3mil years ago, that common ancestor had split into 2 branches. One lead to us through evolution and one lead to the multiple primates that there are.
Give a chimp 1mil years or more and he still won't evolve into humans. They're well adapted for what they do like we are well adapted for what we do.

So they're our distant cousins, not our ancestors. Our ancestors are all dead and we have models of them in our museums.

EDIT: To be clear.
Our ancestors are homo erectus, homo habilis... homo heidelbergensis. neanderthalis.
Chimps never had them as ancestors. they had their own ancestors which evolved and lead to them. Just like gorrillas had their own ancestors that evolved and lead to the gorrillas we know today. F
Fun fact: the latin name for gorrilla is "gorrilla gorrilla gorrilla". :D

Well, I'd suggest that you really need to expand your horizons. Painting an entire party of people with one brush is not only ignorant, it's very inaccurate. You will find lovely people just about anywhere you go, but the brutality in some parts of the world will not be found here, except among the criminal element.

Clearly never met a democrat shouting down a republican.

It's inevitable. Most Americans are very likable, but there are ideas amongst you that are extremely sick, like the scumbag racism that supported the KKK against the greatest-ever American, Paul Robeson, that Unperson in the McCarthy hatefest. You think no-one remembers those vile crimes? There may be aimiable halfwits in the Republican Party, but so? They should be having kindly education towards the point where they can pull up their own pants and wipe their own arses !

Nor did I state or imply that we did. Though I appreciate your lesson of evolution there were clearly more than "Two Branches" split in the bush.

My point here was the seemingly inevitable similarities societal evolution is producing.

How entertaining it is to open up a thread on chimpanzees, the most salient feature thereof involving an interchange between Pendryn and Crue Cab.

Don't worry, arsehole - your censors are soon going to put a stop to that! Go swing!
