Ok, I normally I hate silly internet quizzes but this one is actually incredibly fascinating.

"In the 1970s, Gary Gygax sat down to figure out a system that would categorize the moral composition of every possible person. What he came up with was the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons alignment test, and it applies to literally everyone."
What Is Your Moral Alignment?

I'm curious on how everyone here at DP would align.

My result:

"You got Chaotic Good. You don't care about what other people expect of you. You act as your conscience directs you. You carve your own path through life, but you are generally kind and benevolent. You believe in what is good and right, but have little regard for rules and laws. You despise bullies and others who try to control people through intimidation. You follow your own moral compass, which may conflict with the ideals of society despite your good intent. You are the stereotypical “Rebel.” You combine a good heart with a free spirit. Examples of characters and people who fit into the same alignment as you include Thomas Jefferson, Walt Whitman, Han Solo, Batman, The Flash, Robin Hood, Oscar Wilde, Captain Kirk, Zorro, and Austin Powers."

Neutral Good

You do the best good that a person could be expected to do. You are devoted to helping others. You are willing to work with authority figures, but you do not feel any particular allegiance to them.
You are the stereotypical “Benefactor.” You believe in doing good without any particular bias for or against order. Examples of charactersand people who fit into the same alignment as you include Mother Theresa, Ghandi, Gandalf, Indiana Jones, O-Bi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Harry Potter, Frodo Baggins, and the Dalai Lama.

Hm, seriously?

You are 30.6% Good.
You are 12.8% Lawful.

I mean I never thought of myself as an asshole, but that makes me think is a tad too flattering for me. :p

You are 50% Evil.
You are 43.6% Chaotic.
Alignment: Chaotic Evil

You are compelled by greed, hatred, jealousy, and a lust for destruction. You are hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and often unpredictable. You are out for whatever you can get and have no qualms about doing so in a ruthless and brutal manner. However, your plans are haphazard. Any alliances you make or groups you form are fragile and poorly organized. Some people would describe you as “Demonic.”
You are the stereotypical“Destroyer.” You believe in the destruction of not only beauty and life, but also the order and organization on which they stand.
Examples of charactersand people who fit into the same alignment as you include Jack the Ripper, Saddam Hussein, Blackbeard the Pirate, Cruella DeVille, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Khan Noonian Singh, Dr. Evil, Professor Moriarty, and Lord Voldemort.

:)

You are 58.3% Good.
You are 28.2% Lawful.

Neutral Good seems about right. I like how this morality quiz is cast in the moral categories of Dungeons and Dragons.

which sounds about right. I don't really care what rules society has (neither for nor against, just don't care) and tend to do what I think is right but with a sense of ethics that isn't codified into anything resembling rules.

You are 50% Good.
You are 0% Lawful.
Alignment: Neutral Good

Also I got round numbers, lol

it seems we can all give **** all about the law :p

Neutral Good.

I only scored 12.8% on Lawfulness... I would've thought that would have put me into Chaotic Good...

Too many strangely worded questions or with a premise that assumes I'm late. Gygax? That figures.

I disliked a lot of the questions. In many cases they are framed in an either-or way, where I personally would have rejected the on-off dichotomy and sought other options.

Also, some of the "be nice" options basically required you to be someone's doormat, or cater to someone else's selfishness or convenience, at the expense of something important (like being on time for a job interview, etc).

You are 25.6% Lawful.

You know what's interesting, in thinking about these questions I wondered if my answer would be what I wished I would do vs. what I would actually do. And then getting to the museum question, I decided that if I thought I might be being recorded, my answer would change from tell someone at the information desk to tell the guard or curator what you did.
