Certainly one shouldn't view this as a negative reflection on all Catholics just as one shouldn't view the similar cost of the Reverend Wright's mansion, built shortly after his student Obama was elected, as a reflection on his particular flock.

Absolutely insane. If you needed any more evidence to see that religion is man made look no further. They consistently say that religion is so important because of heaven and hell and your afterlife, mean while many use it to gain power and money in the here and now.
 
This is where 'practice what you preach' should have been first and foremost.
