[Mods and Modesses, I thought this might be a good place for the quiz. If this isn't the proper place, please move it as you see fit.]

My results say that I agree 91% with Sartre and Camus, which doesn't surprise me.

Which philosopher are you?

Hmm...

Not sure on some of the answers, but:

98% agreement with W.v.O. Quine / Late Wittgenstein

There is no provable absolute truth. The way you see things is dependent on your language. Truths exist only within a language, and change as the language does.

Edit: I quite frankly have no idea what those names mean, or whatever.

My strongest tendency was Aristotle, then as follows:

Aristotle 85%
Quine (Late Wittgenstein)72%
Sartre 59%
Early Wittgenstein 54%
Nietzsche 53%
Kant 51%
Plato 32%

Interesting Risky. Thanks!

Which philosopher are you?

Aristotle, 77%.

Truth does not exist in some transcendent realm. We get to truth by applying reason to the physical world. The world follows logic and commonsense. Science if done properly is not too far from philosophy. --This quiz was made by S. A-Lerer.

Plato - 53%
Early Wittgenstein / Positivists - 53%
Immanuel Kant - 29%
Sartre / Camus (late existentialists) - 20%
W.v.O. Quine / Late Wittgenstein - 12%
Nietzsche - 11%

The world is absurd. No facts govern it. We live well once we truly accept the world's absurdity. YOU give our life's meaning, and YOU control your world. (see Nietzsche for very closely tied beliefs) --This quiz was made by S. A-Lerer.

Hmmmm, I can't decide.

The above either shows a exceptional and superior individual of uncommon brilliance and compassionate humanity exhibiting and teaching calm while highly promoting motivational skills ..... OR

A severe multiple personality dis-order.

I think, I'll take door number one ... of course that choice is strictly based upon my obvious firm grasp of earthly plane reality.

Thom Paine

I am tied:-

Early Wittgenstein/Positivists (81%) :- The ambiguity of language is the cause for most (if not all) philosophical problems. If we could get a purely objective language all philosophical problems would be solved. Q.E.D.
Aristotle (81%) :- Truth does not exist in some transcendent realm. We get to truth by applying reason to the physical world. The world follows logic and commonsense. Science if done properly is not to far from philosophy.

Fairly good representation of my beliefs.

interesting. I used to be a rationalist, but since Buddhism became more of my life, I became more of an existentialist.

A lot of the questions don't have an acceptable answer.

I gave everybody a" like" since there are no wrong results, just different perspectives.

interesting. I used to be a rationalist, but since Buddhism became more of my life, I became more of an existentialist.

I was a bit surprised at my own. I used to think of myself as strongly identifying with Plato, but the older I get, the further I drift from his ideas, and the more interesting life becomes to me.

aggregation of knowledge over a lifetime, plus the desire to make sense of the absurdity of being in the corporeal form, did it for me.

For me, it was just that I've experienced too many strange phenomena to believe I'd be considered a strict rationalist. I do adhere to reason in every circumstance possible for me, but there is another aspect to myself which sees that there is a entire other world from which we can and do operate.

There is no provable absolute truth. At the bottom of every philosophy there is some inspired assumption which the philosopher defends with reasons they have sought after the fact. There is no rational principle behind our world. The most noble goal in life is to create art. To live well is to be art. If life is a dream, "I will dream on!"
