Watching the Little League Baseball World Series yesterday between a team from Japan and one from America it hit me; Japan launches an all out surprise attack on America. America nukes Japan twice and since the end of the war the two have walked side by side. So here is the dilemma, why can't Americans walk side by side? You can't say it is race for obvious reasons so what is going on? I don't mean to sound idealistic here but it is puzzling the more I think about it. America/Japan stand alone in world history for acts of aggression against each other. The battles themselves were drenched in hatred and racism and acts of brutality too hideous to contemplate but when it ended it somehow faded away. I am not suggesting it all ended overnight but look at American society today 08/26/13!! When does the suspicion, animosity and hatred stop here in our own land? Are there any leaders out there?

Because the Japanese support themselves :coffeepap

This is a misconception of the Japanese. America has racism but so does Japan. How they treat Koreans and Ainu in their lands or anyone non-white (and sometimes anyone non-traditional Japanese) is right out of the 40s. America and Japan can walk side by side because we don't really walk beside each other. Our leaders talk and have a common enemy in China but as a whole most of Japan and most of America don't know each other and don't care to.
