Is stupidity and ignorance moral?

"Stupid is as stupid does."

There really is a lot to that line. I know several highly intelligent people who've made many stupid choices. I know an attorney who took to the bottle, lost his license and now works as a janitor sweeping floors. I knew an engineer who would cash his paycheck and blow the entire thing on crack cocaine and a hooker. I knew a college professor who, after an ugly divorce, ate his gun...you get the drift.

Knowing people like this, people born with the gift of brains but somehow squandered that advantage in one way or another, has given me a completely different outlook on "stupid".
 
Stupidity is like all other characteristics we have so it is neither moral or immoral. It is what it is. Like every single grain of sand no two people are exactly alike. This is how we are made. Blaming someone for being stupid is like blaming them for being hetrosexual.
