Yes, but for the example I cited, it makes little difference. Every logical system, including information theory, works until it doesn't, as Godel demonstrated. I'm not certain that your cat isn't just practicing, but if fantasy is an adequate description, then so be it. My older dog pretends to be dead pretty regularly now.

And my cat watches everything you post very carefully, especially when you talk about your dog! He's such a troublemaker, and he slants everything his way, and my poor dog doesn't know what the truth is! The cat makes sure of that! :thumbdown:

Dogs are easily duped, and your cat is no doubt a socialist and a propagandist. Dogs are just, well, dogmatic.

Sorry I'm so late responding, but I've been working hard all day long...getting new flooring put down soon which means everything needs to be gone through, room by room!

The cat did disappear for a while on Election Day, now that you mention it! And since the dog is just so loyal and honest, and he barks when other cats come around, you'd think the loyalty would be reciprocated, but nooooo! it just breaks my heart! :lamo

No apologies necessary. I am getting busy as well, and won't be around as much as I have been. Sounds like you have a big job. The cats I've had acted similarly, and Buckwheat, the Persian, needled me constantly about my conservative leanings. I have little doubt that he, too, was registered to vote. You might mention to your cat that Obama has a dog. No cat.
 
Since we cannot know what lies ahead after death why look at those that sacrifice so much for their fellow man from freedom fighter like Ghandi to social leaders like MLK. Nurses, teachers, medical researchers, chemists, engineers all trying to make like better or more bearable. Maybe a simple act of kindness is the work of or proof of God. To do good and to stand against wrong like killing or beating, cheating and lying. If Earth was simply one garden there would be those that seek to protect it, those that live and work to better it and those that feel the need to damage or destroy it.
