I did a little fishing (catching two Silver salmon) this morning, a little golf in the afternoon, and now I'm waiting for sunset, which will be at 11:35 PM tonight.

Firework displays suck on Independence Day in Alaska, but the salmon fishing is fantastic. We save our firework displays for New Years Eve, when we can see them. :lol:

I was bummed out when the city cancelled the fireworks at the last minute . But a few in our neighborhood made up for it. I was surrounded with people letting fireworks off. These were not the small ones you would see from time to time during the 4th. These were the big ones like you would see at any fireworks display. There were 6 or 7 groups in close proximity letting them off at the same time all around us. It was quite a show.
