'Lady Antebellum' changes name

To me Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga are all under the same pop umbrella anyway, so either 1 of them changing their names means nothing. It will still be the same music style.

So, I didn't know what Antebellum meant. Do you really claim to know the meaning of every obscure word?

Erm... it really isn't an obscure word, it has been used a lot in describing the South before the civil war. Did you not go to school in the United States? Did you ever read a book about Lincoln, the Civil War, or American history? Have you never seen a documentary about the civil war or the period leading up to the war? Never saw Ken Burns's documentary "The Civil War"?

I find it shocking, literally shocking how many Americans have zero knowledge about our history. What were they doing in class during U.S. History?

When I think of "antebellum," I think of architecture, and because I don't listen to music on the radio, I'm mainly unfamiliar with Lady Antebellum's stuff. But it's certainly not a good look for the group to change its name so as to be more "sensitive" and "woke" and then go after a black performer who has been using "Lady A" for 20 years.

The group says they really had no choice but to file suit because Anita White, "Lady A," demanded $10 million to use her name. Lady Antebellum Sues Black Blues Artist Anita 'Lady A' White - Black Enterprise

True. They should have stuck with the theory of holes - when you're in one, stop digging deeper! :)
