I know there have been threads on this but it's been awhile.

Anybody here use it?

If so, what are your thoughts?

My wife used it over a period of 6 months for her knee pain; her conclusion....more hype than help.

She went back to using chondroitin glucosamine and arnica balm.

Seems to make my knees feel better. Has some anti-inflammatory and calming properties.

I'd like to try higher potency doses but, waiting for the price to come down.

99% chance that the cbd "oil" you're getting is not pharmaceutical grade cbd and is all hype by mail. Best chance to help with sleep, anxiety, pain is to get legal MJ of high cbd low thc content, or a min 90% Indica strain MJ, from a knowledgeable dispensary. Edibles are the best bet. Good luck.

Thanks, but anything with any amount of THC is out of the question. I definitely plan on talking to my doctor though.

I've used some very, very high dose CBD oil just to see what would happen, don't even know what, if anything happened.

Sure, but I'm subject to random drug testing so...................................

The oil shouldn't show up. I've heard good things, its expensive.

Good news: Latest polling in AZ shows that legalizing marijuana passes with 65% of the vote!

I build parts for the aerospace industry and fall under federal FAA guidelines.

I know what that is like, I was HR for an airline, no way I could get around the guidelines. Then I was head of HR and oversaw drug testing (loathed that).

Now, at a Silicon Valley company, dear god, if we tested for marijuana, we would have to fire everyone.

There are some good protections for workers under AZ medical marijuana laws though. God knows I've been to enough seminars about them, the law has been more defined as of late through some lawsuits that have gone the employees' way.

I used to work for Greulich's Automotive and they also own Hayden Towing. One day they announced they would start drug testing. The next morning we came in and all the tow trucks were in the parking lot with the keys in the night drop. The company changed their mind.

Very nice. The least they could have done is give everyone a few weeks to clean out their systems.

Most of the CBD oil on the market makes a lot of money for some people. If your state allows it, get the real thing. Strangely, Florida allows the sale of THC in various forms. (After seeing a Doctor) More states will allow it soon. It involves money and taxes so you can count on it.. :)

I think for most of the people who actually use it, it is much too expensive for what it allegedly does. It is quite a fad too. However, for some people, it has good effect. For example, I know someone who has epilepsy. Their medicine gives them the side effect of nausea, and is also not 100% effective. The full spectrum CDB oil reducing the side effects of their meds, and also has a synergistic effect where there is better control of her epilepsy. It also helped drastically when the doctors screwed up, and she couldn't get her meds for a couple of days.

It's oversold, but it has it's purposes.

It also helps the side effects from Fibro, but much too expensive. I know someone who would use it, but they can't afford it.

I bought some from Purekana, an industry leader, for arthritis and other ailments and it was no bueno.

A waste of $80 for 2 bottles. Others swear by it though.

OK, any other suggestions for natural remedies for general aches and pains?

Aleve, glucosamine/chondroitin, fish oil, pomegranate juice, vitamin D, and gelatin. I take all of these for back, knee pain, and vascular health.

I used to take Aleve (Naproxen) until my doctor told me not to.

For general inflammation, turmeric .. also, my sister makes tea out of fresh ginger, and has ginger tea. You can get turmeric in bulk from Vitacost relatively cheap. (right now, you can get a pound of it for 10 bucks on sale , down from 18). Add it to food and tea. amicel gel for muscle/joints (that's external)

My b-i-l makes the tea for my sister by taking fresh ginger, cutting it up into tiny slices, and boiling it for a while. I believe stevia leaves are added at some point, and sometimes, turmeric is added.

It's ok in moderation if you have a healthy liver, kidneys, and blood pressure. I use it sparingly because nothing short of prednisone works better for flare-ups. You might need an antiacid to take with it to eliminate stomach burn.

Just looked it up.. in addition, there are other spices and food that combat inflation. Black pepper, garlic, cloves, cinnamon and cayenne also have anti-inflammatory properties. The person I talked to suggests using those spices in food rather than putting it in a pill form.
