Stimulus Check

Yeah, I'll be the first to say I really don't know if it's economically feasible. But it would be great to see some numbers. Oh well ...

A good hint that such a (loafers?) utopia is not likely is that no state has dared try to implement such a system. Alaska likely comes closest, but they rely heavily (within the top 10?) on the federal "safety net" programs that you wish to downsize or abolish.

How much federal funding each state receives from the government

Well, people keep bringing up the trillion dollar coin bull**** so....................

There will always be slackers, maybe if we treated slackers born on third base the same as lazy people we'd see changes in how your situation was resolved.

When you see the problem as folks who are being allowed to earn too much as being slackers then there is little reason to take you seriously.

That's important, because the Coronavirus shutdown has caused a shortage of artificial lures being cast into ponds and lakes, causing bass to "suffer" a shortage of hooks being jabbed through the sides of their faces... But somehow I bet they are enjoying this temporary reprieve. Maybe they'll evolve to completely avoid fake lures, or live bait with hooks sticking out of it...

There is no shortage of that here, infact this whole coronavirus thing just made lakes more crowded than they have ever been.

The army corps of engineers shut down most of their parks, shut down meaning campsites and other, the docks to the lakes and everything else is still available, and even if the parking area is fenced in the gates really do not stop anyone as people just carry their gear around the gate designed to stop vehicles only.

You don't think America's rich have children that are slackers? Rereading I don't see any comment about income earned.

Children from any economic background can be slackers - if that was your point then why specifically mention those "born on third base"?

Because we treat lazy people with no economic advantages different than we treat lazy people with every economic advantage.

Surprised? Why?
These checks and all the other "stimulus" funds were paid for by "borrowing" from the Federal Reserve Bank.
Those of us who are still working, and those who will end up returning to work sooner or later will ALL be "paying this back" in one way or another eventually.

Actually, there's no need to pay it back. As long as the economy grows faster than interest on the debt (which has been true in the great majority of years since WWII), we'll just outgrow the debt.

Yep, only some of them 'qualify' for public assistance.
