Instead of the usual doom and gloom with this covid virus, let's have a thread that highlights the good stuff and please tell it. Things like helping people, or people helping you, or good things happening in your location, let's talk about something that brings a smile to your face. :)

As for me, I have been giving away free books to my reader list, and I've gotten dozens of emails from many seniors and others that are stuck in their houses thanking me for giving them something to read while unable to go out. I replied to each one of them, thanked them, and offered another free book.

What about you? Tell us your good experiences during this pandemic. :2wave:

I have managed to turn away over 16 previously Trump supporting (at the time) morons. And they are now going to vote ANY Dem over Trump. THAT is a Triumph. Trump supporters can deal with that lol .

The Leninist mob of Biden supporters is growing into a large movement of the proletariate towards communist oppression for their own stupid selves as well as for everyone else. Just imagine, free food, free healthcare, free college, free drugs, free sex, freedom from work, freedom to submit to and unquestioningly obey the every ungodly perverted dictate of the godless leaders, and so forth.

You're Lindsey Graham?

Re: Positive things that have happened to you lately

You're Mitch McConnell?

No if I were Mitch McConnell I would have turned over hundreds of thousands of previously Trump supporting morons to vote Dem just because of the Trump cum on the side of my cheek that McConnell has.

It was Graham that lost a major backer. I edited too late for you to catch the joke.

Why would you not support free food, healthcare and college?
I'm not entirely sure about the free sex, drugs, freedom from work, and... that last one.

Well I did try to start something positive, but I guess it was just wishful thinking.

Your hatred of Trump, the sinner, cannot be justified by any support you have for the democrat devils who are polluting the whole world with their narcissistic corruption, greed and ungodliness. Nobody should excuse widespread corruption by attacking conservative influences in America. If people elect hardened political crooks they will find they will be contriolled by demons from hell.

How many lies...how much spin...did you have throw at them to change their minds?

I spent a little bit of my "Trump dollars" and bought myself something I've wanted for a long time: A Win10 tablet. Nothing fancy...6gb RAM, 128gb storage. Now I find myself using my old Android tablet a lot less.

That’s the spirit!

The reason idiots sell themselves into communist slavery is because they suck up lies about free stuff propagated by liars wanting to takie over their country and rule it with a rod of iron, just like other communist nations are oppressed under brutal savage communist deictators. Do you like super size drinks? Better get them now because you will not be allowed super size drinks once the communist dictators are in charge and telling you what you will and will not be allowed to eat.

I am back on the exercise kick. The last two months kind of kicked my butt in terms of the change in routine and falling off the wagon. Today, I got in about 2.1 miles in 30 minutes (going for 3.2 in that time (which is a 5k distance)).

My son is looking at joining the air force or navy after his year off after high school. I am hopeful that he does since it would be a good life experience for him, I think.

I am able to shave $50 off my weekly budget without a quality of life reduction (maybe less video games, but meh) and my girlfriend and I have gone from eating restaurant food to cooking at home. Even with that $50 reduction, I am not spending all of my new budget and am putting another $65 or so unspent into savings every week. I think eating out was costing me more than I realized. Plus my girlfriend can ****ing cook (I am pretty good, but not great) so the food is better.

My boss pretty much told me I can work from home until pretty much forever (this was always implied but he formally stated it). It doesn't hurt he works out of Brussels, Belgium from home.

I am working on introducing two cats to each other (which can take months in some cases) and they haven't killed each other yet or even tried to.

I am going through some practical finance classes with my son (he doesn't have a credit card yet, so now is the time) and he is actually listening and thinking.

Spending more time with my girls, and having more time (and help) working on the house.

Nice idea for a thread. :)

This is ridiculous.

Well it was nice while it lasted.

Re: eating out vs. cooking, we are the exact opposite. It’s pathetic.

I have all this food stocked in the freezer, and fresh herbs growing on the front porch. I have a great baking section I built into the kitchen, brand new gas stove, etc etc etc. I had all these plans to cook more. If anything, we have become our Door Dash driver’s best customer. I do ... not ... know ... why.

Re: Positive things that have happened to you lately

Please guys, no politics in this one.

There are many others to pollute, but let’s leave this one alone.

Most liberals do not support communism of the kind you described. Communist leaders generally come to power through revolution: in America, democratically elected liberal politicians generally try to fulfill their promises of free healthcare and education.
