I have about had it with humans ( as I am prone to saying), and just need to get this off my chest.

I work for a thrift store chain as a driver. I live in a relatively remote are of the region my particular groups covers, and as such have to cover 4 stores over a roughly 30 mile radius, but I'm at the south most part so up to 60 miles one way. We are also in a state with all non-essential businesses shut down.

We are shut down for two weeks (a decision made before the governor did), and our specific group is paying us for it (I have no idea how other groups are handling all this). But this also means that the donation section is also closed. Now what would that mean to you, especially with a sign on the doors saying the donation center is closed?

If you said drop things off anyway, that you are part of the many **** **** **** **** **** people who are throwing bags and boxes at our back doors. Oh, have I mentioned that we've had rain? I did a run by all the stores today, off the clock, just to check how the stores were. As drivers, we have been going around to the stores to keep up and throw things away. From what I gather, it's worse in the metro area where all the other drivers work. I'm the only one for my 4 stores.

In one case, the jerks did not leave their donations at the donation door. I went there first, and thought hey this store got off scott free. Then I drove around front and they dumped it all by the main doors. Right under the sign saying donation are dropped off in the back.

I've been doing this for over 2 decades, and I have seen worse just over a single night, but still, what the hell do these people think would happen to their "donations"? We would be coming in anyway? It's all ruined due to rain. If it wouldn't get me fired, I'd wait out by the back doors and out these people on the internet as the unmentionables they are.

Just to add to your rant. I have seen folks trot up to donations left outside and start rifling through looking for goodies. Called the Sheriffs on the last pack.

Aug, people are pigs. Unless the driveways or access to those areas are blocked, this will likely continue. With more time off, people are cleaning their closets and houses too.

In our area, trash service isn't cheap, and taking loads to the dump is expensive too. So, people dump things by the local country roadways. They may be pigs, but they aren't stupid enough to leave mail items with their addresses in that trash too often, unfortunately.

Back in the late 1970s i would bicycle country paths in Florida. Usual dump piles in the side of the dirt roads. Riding past one something looked odd to me. A Kodak camera from the 1900s. I stopped and saw a pile of things from the 1920s-1950s. I can only guess Ma and/or Pa had passed away and they just dumped everything.

Our local dump had to start screening cars/trucks. The adjoining counties are charging per visit and we haven’t gotten there yet. So the out of county people were driving 20 miles out of their way to dump their crap for free.

I feel we are in for a reckoning........

Yeah we have problems with that as we. Even to the point we have discovered where people have opened up bags of clothes to crap and piss in.
