I have about had it with humans ( as I am prone to saying), and just need to get this off my chest.
I work for a thrift store chain as a driver. I live in a relatively remote are of the region my particular groups covers, and as such have to cover 4 stores over a roughly 30 mile radius, but I'm at the south most part so up to 60 miles one way. We are also in a state with all non-essential businesses shut down.
We are shut down for two weeks (a decision made before the governor did), and our specific group is paying us for it (I have no idea how other groups are handling all this). But this also means that the donation section is also closed. Now what would that mean to you, especially with a sign on the doors saying the donation center is closed?
If you said drop things off anyway, that you are part of the many **** **** **** **** **** people who are throwing bags and boxes at our back doors. Oh, have I mentioned that we've had rain? I did a run by all the stores today, off the clock, just to check how the stores were. As drivers, we have been going around to the stores to keep up and throw things away. From what I gather, it's worse in the metro area where all the other drivers work. I'm the only one for my 4 stores.
In one case, the jerks did not leave their donations at the donation door. I went there first, and thought hey this store got off scott free. Then I drove around front and they dumped it all by the main doors. Right under the sign saying donation are dropped off in the back.
I've been doing this for over 2 decades, and I have seen worse just over a single night, but still, what the hell do these people think would happen to their "donations"? We would be coming in anyway? It's all ruined due to rain. If it wouldn't get me fired, I'd wait out by the back doors and out these people on the internet as the unmentionables they are.
