Why stop at tanning? We must examine perms.
Might it be wise to Google first before making a statement such as this?

UPDATED! Blackface 2.0: The Trend of White Women Posing as Black Women
Some of the more racist ones got butthurt because they can't go around in blackface, so now we have to answer stupid questions about make up.
I read the articles, and it’s not exactly how you and the OP are presenting it. The OP is claiming these women are only tanning, and that’s not accurate. There is an article on the web explaining how the second girl in the OP was done with makeup and contact lenses.
As for your tanning article, the writer is talking about a Swedish tanning lotion where white women were turned very dark to black in a series of tanning adds.
It seems like the right wing is always looking for a reason to laugh at minorities being offended, but the facts aren’t being honestly presented.
This question has been coming up around the beauty community on social media.
I guess they need to make up controversy.
After googling a few of the ads in the OP, it seems right wing media is not presenting the facts correctly. Minority bloggers are not offended by white people getting tans. That’s fake news... :2razz:
They are offended by a Swedish tanning lotion company that transformed white women into very dark to black woken in a series of ads. As for the other beauty video bloggers, they are using makeup to do transformations.
To present the issue as: white people tanning is now blackface, that’s dishonest.
I haven't presented one damned thing. Someone else said he hadn't heard about this issue and speculated that a few rightwingers were making it up, and I asked whether he shouldn't Google before speculating in this way and then provided links demonstrating that this actually is an issue. I've offered no opinion at all on the issue, so get off my back.
I am going to look past you stupid attitude and point out, you offered links to back up the claims of the OP. And, again, your links don't support the claims of the OP. I googled, and I read your links. If you want to clarify something I am not understanding about your links, and the OP's claim that "when white people tan it's a form of black face," then do so.
But I am really getting sick of ****ty attitude
 :lamo You really need to calm down. Not everything has to turn into a Julia Sugarbaker rant.
Wow. They really can't think of anything better to talk about than that?
I responded in kind.
Not at all. You responded like you didn't comprehend at all what she said which is why she was frustrated.

I'm unclear of your opinion here. Do you think darkening your skin is a form of blackface, not at all or something in between?
I don't care.
but if I had to guess, its probably just the make up trend du'jour and people will be doing something else next week.
Except it's not just makeup. They're tanning their entire bodies to be darker. I don't see the trend of wanting darker skin to go away anytime soon since it's been that way as long as I can remember (although not to the extreme some people take it). I understand not caring because I don't care what people do with their skin either. I just thought it was an interesting discussion.
There's always drama in the beauty arena of social media. Many of them thrive on it.
Maybe it's more fun than talking politics.

Then don't dish it out. And read more carefully. I don't even have an interest, much less an opinion, on this topic and responded only to someone else's lazy partisan speculation.
