For the first time, I have recited Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or Give me death" speech in front of a large audience on Veterans day. I did it at our towns middle school veterans assembly.


The last 1/2 an hour before I was to speak was pure torture for me. I had anxiety like you wouldn't believe.

After I got going, I got in my groove. It was amazing

Lots of complements

Hope to do it for even a bigger audience

Next time go in the bathroom and smoke some weed with the kiddies before you appear on stage. Will help with the nerves.

That's the key. Same with oral argument (though these days I'm not nervous until the literal case just before mine is being argued, which incidentally is half an hour as well). Once my first or second sentence is out, and I'm good.
