Unsolved Mysteries

Has anyone watched The Staircase documentary? I don't think he did it.

He did what? :2wave:

Another unsolved mystery from 100 years ago. Creepy.

Why do paintings of Adam and Eve have belly buttons? ;)

Patronage. They are probably some old patrons two lovers or something. It is not as unheard of as people imagine and still happens today for patrons to have themselves or someone they love added into a painting.

Lizzie Borden --- did she or did she not take an ax to her father and stepmother? I say she did it.

Jonbenet Ramsey...always wondered what happened to here...really...

The Somerton Man. The guy who was mysteriously found dead, due to unknown causes, and with no traces as to what was the reason for his death. It's a total mystery. It's always intrigued me.

D.B Cooper is also an interesting one. He hijacked a plane, made off with a lot of money, and parachuted to escape. Nothing has been found of whoever that was since. It's crazy. You'd thing there'd be something.

If I remember correctly, there was some of the money found years later.

"Unsolved Mysteries"

The Las Vegas shooter - a millionaire with countless guns in a hotel room kills 60 people and wounds 400 and nobody knows anything about him ...

I still have to think his girlfriend who lived with him must know more than she has told. One just has to think if your partner was accruing such a number of weapons you might inquire about it.

Not the show, specifically, but mysteries around the world that haven't been solved yet. What are ones that really stick in your mind? Any theories?

I just watched a Natalie Wood documentary last night. I knew Robert Wagner was with her, but I didn't realize Christopher Walken was too. That whole thing is super suspicious. They were all really drunk so who knows what actually happened.

For me, Amy Bradley. I knew both her and her family. Disappeared from her room on a cruise ship without a trace.

Getting killed by an axe is just downright brutal. Years ago I was accidentally hit in the forehead with an axe. Holy crap the first thing you hear is metal against bone. It felt like a sledge hammer hitting a splitting maul. Being a head wound you bleed like a sprinkler. I had blood dripping down to my knees. Just scared the hell out of the first two people I approached for help.

Oh wow. I just read up on the case. I hope they find her someday.

At this date, not likely. Over the years, her parents have spent a lot of money following leads. All have turned out to be scams.

You never know. Missing people have been found years later.

The potential perps were well healed, well connected Hollywood stars. So it's unlikely we'll ever know the truth. It would be interesting to see if any of the politicians, prosecutors or police connected to this case had suddenly become significantly wealthier shortly after this happened.

FYI - there's a great unsolved mysteries series on Hulu from Buzzfeed. Each episode is only about 4-6 minutes long.

I don't think Cooper survived the jump. He wasn't dressed for the altitude or the weather conditions. Plus, the reserve chute he took was only a training one and was sewn shut - if he was a trained parachutist, he would have recognized that. Even if he did survive, though, he never spent any of the money because it would have turned up in circulation.

I just learned that the D.B. in D.B. Cooper isn't even part of the case. He said his name was Dan Cooper. A reporter accidentally typed D.B. in an article and it just stuck.

How is Keith Richards still alive and in good health?

Our teachers who warned us about drugs and were younger than Keith are dead. I lived a super healthy life and I won't make 52. The druggies from high school I know only have reading glasses as a health issue.

First thing I would have done is check the rigger info on the reserve. Earl Cossey Master rigger thought Cooper may have used the dummy chute for a money bag. That opinion was in the Nov. 26, 1971 FBI report.
