McDonald's Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich TV Commercial, 'Passport' - iSpot.tv

I love this commercial from McDonald's. Genius!

Why deal with the trouble of getting your passport/getting to the airport, going through customs, getting into a tiny taxi, dealing with a foreign language in order to get their Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich, when you can just walk into McDonald's and try it there?

I watch these commercials and think, I'm really glad I don't have to go on those trips anymore. When I traveled it truly changed my perspective on America and the value of our Constitution. I get more kicks taking my family on a trip to Applebees or the mall than traveling to Europe or Asia. It's a different type of experience. Nothing beats America!

This thread is a joke right?

Im sure Europeans and Asians are just crying their eyes out over the thought of you not coming to their shores, Bucky.

Millennials go for experiences over other kinds of purchases but I definitely think that idea has peaked. I am not saying traveling abroad is a bad thing but it definitely reinforced my love of home. Traveling is just too exhausting and tiresome after a while.

Well this may just get your goat, because McD's in other countries have a lot of offerings that can't be found in the US:

I too wish to learn ALL ABOUT foreign history and culture, but sometimes it's just too expensive to travel there. So thank God for fast food chains! Now, when I decide to learn about GENUINE Mexican history and culture, I need travel NO further than my local Taco Bell for an "authentic" Mexican hard shell taco! Brilliant! Now I can practically qualify as a Mexican history professor!

What is sad about this post is that you seem to think America is defined by Applebees or the mall.

No, no, no.... America ISN'T defined by Applebee's or "the mall". America is defined by Bennigan's! Unfortunately, America's 'Bennigan's days' are long gone.... No longer is America a "fern bar".... *Sigh*

This ****ing guy's idea of great American food/culture is mother****ing Applebees.

I love Applebees as much as the next person but yeah it doesn't define America or provide a better experience than international travel.

This thread is sad.

I wonder what it says about America when the mall is dying?

I agree, traveling aboard makes you appreciate living in the greatest country in the world. However, for some you have to see it to believe it.

Oh yeah, I loved their Monte Cristo sandwich. Sadly, the two Bennigan's where I am closed. :-(
