Anyone interested in adopting an Afghan cat?

Ladies and Gentlemen!!

Great news.....Winston has a sponsor, and will receive his US Visa in short order....When I return to the states in June for leave, Winston will accompany me. :2party:

On a different note.....the vet tending to Winston believes there is a very high chance that he is a hybrid.....a mix of domestic cat and possible sand cat...that being said, I'm sure he will be right at home in the USA with the rest of the mutts.

Congrats on finding Winston a forever home.

I would like to thank you for caring for him and for sharing his story with us.

Mods, if this is the wrong place, please move it.

So....I acquired a cat today; Some of you may know I work in Afghanistan, and we have occasional strays around our compounds.

Today I was returning back to my compound and I saw a dog with a cat in its mouth shaking it and chewing on it....I stopped the dog and retrieved the cat, and, surprisingly, it didnt try to flee, and instead tried to climb inside my jacket.

I will be turning the cat over to the vet in the morning for treatment and vaccination; the injuries are survivable, and normally I would see it treated and released, but this cat is highly socialized, and has no fear of Me, and allowed me to handle and clean its wounds.

As I already have a few cats, I am unable to keep it in my home, but I will be returning to the States with it.

If anyone is seriously interested, please PM me; I will be handling the cost of bringing the cat back to the States.

that is a kind act

I am an expat in Saudi working. We have loads of strays on the compound, I took in an elderly cat, she is now living good. As she has been abandoned so many times by previous owners I am hoping to get her back to the States with me eventually.
