As a result of finding out my DNA ancestry results, I appear to be a person of the world at being part African, European, Central American and Malenasian ancestry thus far, with further discoveries to behold. This discovery also clarified certain speculations as to who my ancestors were. Also these ancestry results reaches back over 2000 years. As such, when it comes to a race, it appears all are part of the human race.

I have never done a dna heritage test, I know from geneology my family descends french royaly and german peasantry, as well as irish and british peasants. The british peasants eventually became nobility due to messed up laws then where servants of a lord or noble could take the nobles family name and even possible move up to nobility.

2-0-0-0? 2000? two THOUSAND years???

No way Jose- either you misread something or you got scammed, because these DNA ancestry results can't go back much more than 500 years with any plausible degree of confidence.

Also, when it comes to race, the fact that we are all human does not mean that there are not genetic differences significant enough to divide us into distinct populations which might reasonably be termed racial.

Well just enjoy your self perceived technicality of a inbreeding DNA, and of the tRump brainwashed and ignoramus cult following heritage. Also your ilk appear to be terrified of the progression of science going forward into the 21st century. Yet you may find out that the science of DNA discoveries goes far beyond determining ones own scientific heritage with margins of error constantly decreasing. As such, I would advise you despicable and primitive haters to get a real education instead of spewing out your hate based theories.

USING DNA TO SOLVE CRIMES

The past decade has seen great advances in a powerful criminal justice tool: deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA. DNA can be used to identify criminals with incredible accuracy when biological evidence exists. By the same token, DNA can be used to clear suspects and exonerate persons mistakenly accused or convicted of crimes. In all, DNA technology is increasingly vital to ensuring accuracy and fairness in the criminal justice system.
News stories extolling the successful use of DNA to solve crimes abound. For example, in 1999, New York authorities linked a man through DNA evidence to at least 22 sexual assaults and robberies that had terrorized the city. In 2002, authorities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Fort Collins, Colorado, used DNA evidence to link and solve a series of crimes (rapes and a murder) perpetrated by the same individual. In the 2001 “Green River” killings, DNA evidence provided a major breakthrough in a series of crimes that had remained unsolved for years despite a large law enforcement task force and a $15 million investigation.
DNA is generally used to solve crimes in one of two ways. In cases where a suspect is identified, a sample of that person’s DNA can be compared to evidence from the crime scene. The results of this comparison may help establish whether the suspect committed the crime. In cases where a suspect has not yet been identified, biological evidence from the crime scene can be analyzed and compared to offender profiles in DNA databases to help identify the perpetrator. Crime scene evidence can also be linked to other crime scenes through the use of DNA databases. " https://www.justice.gov/archives/ag/advancing-justice-through-dna-technology-using-dna-solve-crimes

I’m paranoid about giving out my DNA to be analyzed and logged into a database. I have no idea what might be able to be done with it in the future.

I am certainly proud of my DNA lineage to which according to these DNA lab results goes back over 2000 years, and with more discoveries to come going forward into the 21st century. This 21st century technology would have been unheard just 15 years ago.

Well of course. They are after all building a clone army. Its OK...they will just get it from you while you sleep.

Sweet dreams!

Why would you be proud of something you had no part in?

Share the results let’s us see what this lab says they can do.

Yes yes, while your postive assertion may be true(hint: it is), we have all learned recently that any statistically insignificant, miniscule micro-droplet of DNA can suddenly and COMPLETELY identify and define who you are as a person! So you may learn that you are 1/1024th Aleut or Yupik, because your great, great, great, great, yawn, great, great, great, great, oy vey, great, great grandfather spent 4 days in Alaska, and hooked up with a native Alaskan woman, while awaiting the "company" to pay him for his beaver pelts.

So THAT suddenly makes you a Yupik or Aleut! Nevermind the other 99.02%, you should go and run for office as Chief of all native Alaskans! Well, that is, right after you manipulate a major university into giving you a job, because after all, you are a native Alaskan minority!

This whole Faux-cohantas thing is so laughable, that it should embarass the people on the other(wrong) side of the argument! But more significantly, it would OFFEND them, if in fact they truly did care about minorities....

ANYWAY, I digress. You are 100.09% correct in that you are part of the human race! It's interesting to know our heritage, but it shouldn't define us as people. My ancestors are primarily Scottish, and yet I can only name 1 Scottish food item, haggis. Also, even when I used to drink, I disliked Scotch whiskey. I did like tequila though....And food from Mexico, Peurto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica...

I do not want to take a DNA test.

For 81 years, I have identified with a certain race/ethnicity.

Most people who look at me also assume that I am a member of that race/ethnicity.

I do not want to learn that I also have traces of other races/ethnicities.

Well, when it comes to general regions, it can go that far back. When it comes to people who are cousins are related, it's not nearly that accurate. I think 250 to 300 years is near a limit.

I always wondered what family secrets would come out. I heard about one woman who's family took it (she and her syblings),and she found out that her syblings were actually her half syblings, and that she was a product of an affair. Both her parents were passed by then, but I am sure it was pretty much a shock to her.. She did find a bunch of half siblings (on her fathers side) she never knew about , but still..

However, there are certain genetic markers that are much more common in certain areas of the world. You can see a prevalence of alleles that originated in specific parts of the world. WIth modern migration due to the improvement of transportation, these tend to spread out and are becoming dissipated over time, but any isolated community will start having it's own unique set of alleles . For example, B+ blood originated in China, but spread to a significant portion of Europe due to the Hun invasions. People who have B+ blood at least have some distant ancestor from Mongolia

For some reason I think my blood type is B+, but I'm only about 75% SURE of it. I've got a relatively new doctor, so I'm not sure whether he would even know my blood type.

I took one of these blood tests, and found out some interesting things.

Just like Elizabeth Warren, my family has a story. Our story, is that we are related to Benjamin Franklin. Well, my family is just chocked full of white supremacist's. Not the tiki torch assholes. Actual, organized, hate crime, we sell meth to minorities, and hang pictures of hitler on our wall, white supremacists.

So, when I broke off from the family and went my own way. I naturally questioned everything I had been told. So I tried one of those blood tests. Turns out, they don't tell you if you're related to famous people in history. Well, the one I took didn't at least.

It did tell me that either my white supremacist grandfather was either Native American or my grandmother has some explaining to do...

Part of the reason I was disowned was I uh asked about this, and caused a big ol stink in the family. Two of my cousins who were pretty white power discovered that they weren't white. Neither will speak to my grandmother. My grandfather died a few years before this, so good for him I guess.

Grandma swears its not true, and that DNA is lying. But, two of her kids were half Native. My mother, and my aunt, the oldest two. My grandmother was given to my grandfather when she was 15, he traded whiskey and gas for her. So it's not a long stretch to think she had a mysterious lover.

On the Ben Franklin thing, I ended up contacting a genealogist and paying to have my DNA compared to someone that can trace their line back to Ben Franklin. And I am.

So I tried joining that Society of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence. And they don't accept DNA, you gotta show it in historical records. Well, during the Civil War, a lot of my families holdings in the south were burned the **** down. So... I don't have that. Just the family bible they started after everything was Burned by Sherman.

Edit** And the Native thing really makes since, because we are supposedly Scotch Irish on my mother's side, me and my cousins were very tan and dark of hair. And didn't sunburn at all. While our other cousins were all ginger.

So it really made sense.

My cousins to this day are trying to ignore that they believe themselves inherently flawed and impure. But are kind of spiraling into alcoholism. I wish I could say I felt bad for them.

Only interesting thing on my father's side is I have some marker that means I'm one of the millions of people related to Genghis Khan.

This is beautiful. It's why we shouldn't throw in racial slurs to people because we could be insulting our own ancestors and we don't realize it until we get DNA tests. I wonder if we'll ever see a lifetime where race will never be an issue for each and everyone of us?
