Is this type of Wrestling practiced in the USA?

There is a sport called Kirkpinar that I guess is so demanding that most American Wrestlers won't even compete in it even though there are no strikes or submissions involved. Does anyone know if it is practiced anywhere in the US?

I believe there are a couple of places in San Francisco that practice it
 
I’m not the kind of person who uses the phrase “that’s gay” to describe things other than gay porn. But I’m going to have to start including “Turkish oil wrestling” to that very tiny list. :)

I just watched a big sweaty guy reach around and grab another guy's nutsack inside his shorts. (00:27)
That is one thing I did NOT NEED to see.

You can call it Kirkpinar, you can call it any sound you want that has a lot of back of the throat uvula snorting to make it sound MORE Turkish, you can call it "oil wrestling" but I call it homoeroticism, and there's nothing wrong with that if you're into homoeroticism.

I think the Turks are in denial about some stuff.

Not only is it the biggest sport in Turkey, it as spread all over Europe as well. Here is a video from London with large number of competitors and a huge crowd. The action starts at about 3:50.
