Son's car gave up the ghost.

Wow, that's an ugly hole! I showed your photo to hubby, and he said "yep, that's a rod out."

My daughter's Mustang is going into the shop. It's transmission went yesterday. Fortunately, the cell phone reached and they got a Triple A tow.
 
Never seen anything like that in a car. It's hideous.
