I stopped watching "Morning Joe" after the inauguration of the Honorable Donald J. Trump because of the unhinged criticism of the President by Mr. Scarborough and Ms. Brzezinski.

This morning on C-SPAN, however, a discussion reminded me that even unpleasant individuals have their good points.

Some of you know about the horrific tragedy of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis during World War II (most crew members died -- some from the sharks).

The captain was one of the few survivors.

Of course, the Navy needed a scapegoat.

So it chose the captain (who years after the war committed suicide).

*****

For years, survivors had been trying to get the government to exonerate the captain.

No luck.

One of the people who did support the movement, however, was Mr. Scarborough.

The captain was finally exonerated (after his suicide).

If you are interested in the sinking, there is a new definitive book out about the tragedy.

I stopped reading at "Honorable Donald Trump". You can feel free to like the guy but let's not get ridiculous here and pretend he's honorable.

I dispute the premise of this thread. There is nothing good about Joe Scarborough or his show! Lol. Watching and listening to him and his female co-host(who often seems to abhor good ole Morning Joe), is like watching Don Imus.

I remember watching a few of his shows during Obama's presidential campaigns, who Imus was backing wholeheartedly. In fact, he was often insulting republicans during that time. But then he said or did something that temporarily got him suspended. I don't recall precisely what it was, but he was accused of making a "racist remark". Immediately, the MSM jumped into the fray, and before you knew it, Imus was being conveniently, but dishonestly portrayed as a conservative republican! This was same guy, who just days, weeks and months b4 the allegedly racist remarks, was running a live, tv aired radio show at MSNBC as a Republican-hating Obama supporter! LMAO...

But then, the scumbag propagandists at NBC company had Al Sharpton meeting live, on tv and radio, to act as the grand inquisitor, who decided whether or not to accept Imus' apology, and determine once and for all if Imus was a racist! You can't make this stuff up! How does anyone still put their faith and trust in our news media?

How about this: "The magnificent and resplendent sovereign, our illustrious, majestic potentate, the dignified and ceaselessly humble prince of propriety, the grand viceroy of the people, master Donald Trump"? Lol.

Seriously though, I'm concerned but hopeful when it comes to Trump. I'm not blindly loyal to anyone. I support some of his decisions, but certainly not all of them.
