Is pornography THAT bad???

An Arkansas woman was arrested Saturday after telling police she shot and killed her husband because he bought pornography, officials said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release it received a call around 2:30 p.m. from 69-year-old Patricia Hill, who told dispatchers she just shot her 65-year-old husband, Frank.
When police arrived at the home, located about 36 miles south of Little Rock, they found Frank Hill dead in a shed on the property. Hill sustained two gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body, according to police.
The sheriff’s office said that during an interview with Hill, she told investigators she arrived home and went to the shed on her property to confront her husband, but there had never been any physical altercations between the couple.
“However, Mrs. Hill stated that she disagreed with her husband’s purchase of video pornography via the television guide, which she canceled upon discovering the purchase, but Mr. Hill managed to place a subsequent order,” Maj. Lafayette Woods, Jr. said. “Mrs. Hill stated that she entered the shed and asked her husband to leave but he refused.”
When her husband didn’t leave the shed, Hill told investigators she went back to their home and got a .22 caliber pistol.
“She went back to the shed a short time later, where she entered and shot her husband twice, striking him once in the leg and once in the head,” Woods said. “Immediately following the shooting, Mrs. Hill stated that she returned inside the residence, where she returned the weapon and called 911 to report the shooting.”
At this point, investigators do not believe the incident had anything to do with self-defense.

Some viewers might think that some of the stunts these male actors do with their partner are intriguing but in practice, not all they are cracked up to be.
Besides, I just think my imagination does a better job, and I think there are plenty of women for whom their imagination really is all THEY need.
So called "dirty movies" (movies or shows that have sex in them) differ from "pr0n" because they place the viewer in their own imagination instead of being straight up exhibitions. Most porno films come off like a clumsy "instruction manual"...place Part A into Receptacle A, then switch to Part B etc etc.

You know, this is not a science, so if what I am saying isn't logical sounding, it's because the whole thing is probably different for every individual, so I can only speak for myself, really. I just know that if the wife and I are watching some film or TV show, there's that moment where we're both arching our eyebrows and thinking, "hmmmm, that's awesome".
Maybe we both have the same kind of dirty minds, which I suppose might be among the many reasons we're a couple.

Im not defending porn. I'm just saying it's none of that woman's buisiness if her husband enjoys it anymore than it would be appropiate for him to need to give her his approval of which vibrator she can use.

Personal experience in my family and friends. It's insidious and damaging. There are recovery groups and programs. Overcoming the addiction can be difficult, but it's possible. Trust me, I know this for a fact. I have witnessed the pain first hand ...... the awful struggle that people go through over this.

Do you think for one moment that anyone acting out on sexual violence or similar, did not start with porn?

Of course there's a lot of money in it. There's a lot of money in drug dealing too. Doesn't make it right. This is why the recruitment effort is aggressive and active.

Obviously there's a gray area here. When does the addiction begin? There's no measurable set point. The truly addicted, and there are many, often need help to get out of it.

You may disagree with me, and you have your right. But I feel very strongly about this. I have seen it disrupt marriages, erode trust, hurt families, and escalate self-loathing. It's a dirty, disgusting, evil industry and I hate it with everything in me.

in the future make more honest posts you can back up. You seeing it in your family doesnt related it to the rest of the world.

If you are young, porn could teach you about sex. I'm a 52 year old male, and if another 52 year old male is watching porn: I would say he does not have a healthy relationship with women. If you are a male watching lesbian porn, your really have a poor relationships with women.
 
The*real reason she shot him wasn't that he was watching porn. It's that he was dumb enough to pay for it lol

What little I watched porn in the 1980's, really proved over time that a 30 minute movie with one song played over and over again really did not explain the human nature of sex to well. Since the era of the LGBT movement, not a single gay or lesbian has ever said, please watch a 30 minute lesbian movie to understand the beliefs and understanding of lesbians. If you could, and you cannot show me this evidence from a mainstream LGBT member -- than lesbian porn is not the answer to understand the human condition of being a lesbian to a old white male like me.

True, there are white males at the same age as myself that has thousands of dollars of porn to watch. And has a vast collection of lesbian porn movies to watch as well. In my judgement, he has not outgrown being a confused teenage boy.

It was not unto the 1990's that Saint John Paul II accepted the science fact, that earth goes around the sun as being true to the Catholic faith. And the actions of the Catholic faith attacking the earth going around the sun was a error of the church. Like you, it will take centuries to convinced of a science fact.

My argument is going to be with the lesbian community within the LGBT community. The American and Canadian lesbian community is making strong inroads with being accepted into mainstream media and mainstream community. They are not selling lesbian porn movies at 2 for $10 of a DVD movie to be accepted into the mainstream of the Christian community or the mainstream of non gay and non lesbian people. If it was logical that lesbian porn movies are a positive to be accepted into the mainstream, it would have been done decades ago. In the lesbian community that has moved into the mainstream of social and cultural, are not pushing to have non gay and non lesbian to watch porn lesbian movies. In fact, it would drive them out of the mainstream and push them back years if they did so.

There is a sex market with topless bars and adult bookstores with porn movies and books. That community is not in the socially accepted culture we have today. In fact, a lesbian working in the workforce today is more accepted, then a man that talks about his collection of lesbian porn movies. In fact, to be logical to find a troubled employee, a married lesbian that gets along with other women and does not talk about her personal sex life in detail is more accepted then a man watching porn. A unmarried male that talks about his collection of lesbian porn movies, would trouble the women workforce, as a man thinking of two women being compared to have sex with each other. Logic, who is the more troubled worker, the lesbian or the man watching lesbian porn movies. Clearly, the man.
