Cat and chicken survive fire together

When one family evacuated the home, they did not have room or time to take all their chickens with them. So, they released them to fend for themselves.

When crews came through the charred neighborhood after the fire came through, they found a hen and cat huddled together on the family front porch. They were a bit singed, but will be okay. Nice story (Cat and Chicken Survive Fire Together – Cat Daily News).
 
The cat was mad. It did not get bbq chicken
 
As a resident of Northern California, and recipient of much choking smoke from areas north of us, I am grateful to see any survivors of that inferno horror, be they feline or fowl. I wish more creatures had survived, but applaud those who did find a safe spot to live through the firestorm.
