How sucsessful is this person?

How sucsessful is this person?

A life long welfare whore, who I absolutely despise, she is about 60 now, never held a job in her adult life, slept around took advantage of everything in life including her own children. She works the system till this day and at 60 there is no chance she will ever hold a job, the hard part is, she's my best friends mother.

I've known him since he was 10, took him under my wing so to speak and we've been friends since, we are 10 years apart. He loves his mom and I wouldn't expect anything less, but it makes me cringe when he speaks glowingly of her as he does from time to time.

In total there are 5 kids who are all grown now ranging in age from 40-52, they all work, none of them have a criminal record, they don't take drugs, abuse their children etc. They are not all model citizens but they don't draw from the system so who am I to knock any of them in any way, I know them all and am friendly with them all.

So, with this information, how successful is the Mom IYO?
 
Can you post a picture of her so we can hate her more vividly.?

You don't mention a Dad. A single mom who managed all that and produced 5 well adjusted children would be a considered a pretty impressive success in many minds.

If instead she was living as a dependent on someone else earning a living, then the success would belong to them.

I have a cousin who almost fits that description, but he raised two college educated kids who are now doing very well. So, it's all relative, I guess.

There was a biologic sperm donor, but if he stopped in twice a year to see the kids, that was a lot. They treated him like a hero when he'd do the pop in, I was always amazed at the love and glory they bestowed upon him. He'd stay a few hours, hand them a few bucks and he'd be off, he was worse then the mother.

5'2" all the way around, when she'd go out "dressed up" she'd wear something as tight as a plastic garbage bag and just as reveling, had a pig nose and education that was, shale we say, limited. One time because ZI had influence over her son, she tried to poison my dog, she literally dropped a hotdog laced with pills on the sidewalk near my business where I kept my dog.

I would guess she is a very successful MOTHER if all her five kids are productive adults.
They could have turned out much worse.

Sounds like you are successful at being full of rage for things that should mean nothing to you.

Happy and truly successful people don't waste their time whining and about other people's situations.

I was being sarcastic. Just let it go man. There are thousands of people I find disgusting and that is just on DP....lol. No, but seriously it is what it is. Be above her.

I was thinking the same, as a mother she was very successful but on a personal level she sounds like a failure. Considering how statistically drug dependence, violent crime, and poverty correlate with single motherhood it is really impressive that all 5 kids turned out to be well adjusted adults. It could very well be they had a role model outside of the family or used her as a negative role model determined to not end up like her (My uncle is an alcoholic and drug addict, it was his presence in my life that helped me understand the dangers of addiction and not having self control. While I loved the man, he was the example I strived to not be.)

No rage, just a fair amount of contempt, after all you (assuming you worked) and I paid to raise those 5 kids.

If she raised five successful and productive members of society who pay taxes and make the community better then you and I should be overjoyed that we helped pay to raise them. That is Lyndon Johnson's Great Society at its textbook best.
You should be proud, I sure am. For a change, "my tax dollars at work" actually accomplished something good for society.

I cannot begin to imagine what you would have contempt for. Would you rather that all five of them be gang members or drug addicts?
